Bright Ideas Tattoo and Piercing

I recently went and got my FIRST tattoo at this place with Jose. Horrible first experience. He didn’t care, he wasn’t considerate, he did a HORRIBLE line work along with him going in too hard on the lines that the ink smeared, on a very very VERY simple tattoo. It being my first tattoo I was expecting it to hurt. But it didn’t. I did Not flinch, or move. No reason for the lines to be so horrible. It really sucks because it’s my first tattoo and I’m very disappointed with it. I would Not recommend you go with Jose. At all. If he can’t do a simple heart, I doubt He can do any other piece.

I went here with my husband to get him a tattoo. The shop was clean, the staff was super friendly, and our artist Jason was AMAZING. He created an awesome tattoo, addressed all our questions/concerns, and took his time to get all the details right. Overall he exceeded our expectations and is a true asset to this business.

Dylan was amazing! Made me feel comfortable and safe and less nervous! Painless experience and I can’t wait to come back for my next piercing!!

I tried to walk-in and schedule an appointment here just now. I’m trying to get simple flash tattoos to fill in a sleeve. I’m here from out of town and saw this place on IG. When I walked in the dude was super rude, complained about how he had to do a five hour tattoo a d basically turned me away without even seeing what I wanted. If I owned the place I’d be worried about artists turning away simple money walking in the door. I’ll keep looking while I’m in town. Yuck dude.

I came in for a piercing and Dylan was the one who did it. He did the piercing alright but it felt like he didn’t really care about the customer. He seemed like he was in a rush and didn’t explain much of anything about the piercing.

Did a walk in nose piercing and my artist was so nice. Didn’t take long to get me sanitized and got the piercing done in less than five minutes! Super sweet and gave me great advice to take care of it. Totally coming back here for my first tattoo if they take care of you with piercings!

After so many attempts to call and no answer. I finally went in to get a piercing and there was no one that could do my piercing. I went in on a Saturday and was told to come back Monday after 12:30 when the piercer would be in.

Called when shop first opened. No answer. Was able to reach via FB and advised of pricing and to walk in between 12-9pm for $45 belly piercing. Called one more time later in the day and got through. Confirmed there was NO WAIT and the process would take 15-30 mins. Person who answered the phone had a very “matter-of-factually” attitude when I asked about time.

Arrived at shop. Had to knock on door because it was locked due to Covid restrictions (although restrictions were lifted for businesses but to each their own). Someone told me I had to wait 10-15 because of COVID restrictions and someone was in the shop. Told them I was there for a belly piercing. They confirmed. Told the person I would be in my car. They confirmed the color of my car and said when I see someone walk out come in. Came right back to the door when customers left the shop. Knocked again. Was “greeted” me by asking me how could they help me. Advised them the previous person told me to come back to door when customers left. She was at a different door talking to me so in order to let me in, she had to walk around to the door I was at. I walk in. There are 4 people just sitting on the couch chilling, not being serviced. I was asked for my ID which I left in the car. Before leaving they told me the credit card machine was down and I would have to walk next door or to the bank to get cash. (ATM wouldn’t be free since I bank with Chase which is a mile away.) They had an ATM in the store hut it was out of cash.

You guys should tell people what’s needed before they come in if they’re calling ahead of time. And if you knew you couldn’t take cards ahead of time, that should have been said. Some people have other things on their schedules. Thanks!

I love this place. It's clean, everyone is friendly, and they won't let you walk out of there with a bad tattoo. My last 4 tattoos have been at Bright Ideas from Alex and Mike. They ate amazing artists. Will be going very soon for my 5th one from them. I definitely recommend anyone I ever meet, that wants a tattoo, to Bright Ideas.

My husband had his ears pierced here. I took my son here to get his ears pierced as well a few years ago. I went back and got my belly button re-pierced because I did it myself when I was in HS and it wasn't done properly (obviously). I didn't have any trouble with healing and am happy with the way it looks. It is straight now! Everyone is friendly, I felt welcome when I walked in. I will always recommend this place for piercing. I have yet to get a tattoo here, maybe soon!
