I went in today with my sister. Mind you, we are African American. My sister asks the man upfront if she can do a tattoo with the color of blues. (Light blue, dark blue.) and the man says that he can not proceed with her suggestion because her skin color is “too” dark and it will not show up on her skin. I did not think that statement was a way of telling someone that they cannot get something because of the color of their skin. I have seen MANY tattoo artists do color on brown and even darker skin tones. This man lacks creativity and versatility in his work which means he himself cannot do the tattoo. Not that ever in her life she cannot get a tattoo in color because of her skin tone. I was a customer of them and spent good money on my first tattoo but I will not be returning ever again. I suggest if you are black and want a tattoo of color do NOT go to tattoo redemption. Thank you.
