Modern Ink Tattoo

I received four tattoos from Jordan of varying complexities. Some tattoos came out beautifully, some were very wobbly, with blowouts and inconsistent color packing. Get Jordan on a good day - if she's tired or grumpy, she will rush your tattoo. She also has copied references entirely and will not draw her own work. If you bring this to her attention, she will become very frustrated and hostile with you. I'd forgo color entirely - she's not comfortable with it but will attempt it anyway, and just do it poorly.

My boyfriend and I came to Arizona to visit some family and decided on a tattoo, as we shopped around we found Modern Mods and the minute I walked in the door I knew I wanted a tattoo from here. The place is very clean, Johnny was very professional and spoke with kindness. Johnny did an excellent job on both our tattoos! I recommend to whom ever is looking for a tattoo!

Walked in this morning asking if they had availability in the day. Told me I could come back at 1p.m. and Johnny would be in to take care of me and indeed he did. Such a great dude and a wonderful artist. Price was perfect and so was my new tattoo. 5 stars across the board, can't thank him enough for hooking me up. You're the man Johnny, I appreciate you a bunch.

My situation stems from many years ago. I had a very large tribal on my forearm that countless tattoo artists over the years refused or just didn't have the vision to cover up. I wanted to do something to honor my late Grandmother and when I showed Steve this horrible tattoo on my arm, it didn't phase him at all. He welcomed the challenge and covered it up amazingly with an elephant pictured in his portfolio. I then went back to Steve to finish the lower half of my arm which will eventually turn into a full sleeve. The artwork is impeccable and Steve's attitude, care and vision honored my grandmother in ways I cant Express. I know in my heart she would be proud. If you are looking for a tattoo shop, Modern Inc is a must.

My wife and I received matching tattoos. Our artist was Bo. It was my wife's first and he made her very comfortable. The line work is perfect and they came out better than expected. We will certainly be returning.

Very happy with the entire experience at Modern Ink! Johnny was fantastic!!! There were three of us getting tattooed and he did an absolutely excellent job!! You feel comfortable in the shop, and with the artists. Definitely recommend!!!!!

I called many places determined to get a tattoo done, times are crazy right now and of all the places I called they were the only ones taking walk ins. I was looking for something somewhat small and a new artist to try before I get my daughter her first one for her birthday. My friend and I went in and Steve told me he’d have to draw it up and he’d get mine completed in the next couple of days. He called me the next morning and I was in within the next hour. I shared a couple pictures with him and he showed me what he thought would be better and I loved it!. Now, let me say this... I was kind of nervous even with it being my fifth one. I decided to get it on the top of my foot and have heard many stories about the pain of getting it in that particular spot. He was very straightforward and prepared me for what was to come, even the pain.... which surprisingly wasn’t as bad as I expected. Steve has an amazingly delicate hand and pays such close attention to every detail to make sure it’s perfect and I am so happy with the way my tattoo came out. Thank you so much Steve for what might be a small tattoo, but means the most to me over all my others since it represents my daughters and I. I will literally never see another artist besides him for any future tattoos for myself and for my daughters first one.

Nothing but amazing words for this shop. All the people I met in the last two weeks at the shop are professional and caring about not only their work but the people they are doing their art on. Special thanks to Bobby for being patient and kind with me while he not only revamped my back piece but added scripture to my angel, especially when I hit my breaking points. Will definitely come back to Modern Mods Tattoo and won’t second guess recommending them to others!
