Dame of the West Tattoo

This is the first and only tattoo shop I've ever been to, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone. I went in knowing they had talented artists, but they're also all very friendly and fun to be around. The facility is clean, the location is great, and I couldn't be more pleased with my experience.

Josh Carter did my tattoo and he is great! I didn't keep track of how many hours my tattoo took (3/4 sleeve with chest panel), but it was definitely a lot of time spent with him and in the shop. Probably 5 or 6 visits, a few hours each time. Josh was always on time, professional, and fun to spend time with. I would trust any of the artists there without any reservation.

I first put 2 stars as my review as a different tattoo artist did a cover up for me and long story short I felt it was not done and felt ignored. Not for long though! After my review Josh reached out and we had our appt today and it was great! We had good conversation, he was understanding, and fun! And not to mention my tattoo cover up is finished and it looks beyond great! He added a splash of color and was patient with me. Very cool guy! I for sure recommend coming here you are in good safe hands.

Jon Garber is an amazing artist here! I was nervous but he was so professional, talented and clean that my anxiety melted away. I love these pieces more and more everyday! They healed so nicely and remind me of a very important anniversary and I cherish them. I am so glad I went here! Truly the best in the West!

I live all the way in Avondale and I personally think it’s worth it coming all the way down here to get tattooed. Everyone is always kind and helpful here. This is my second time getting tattooed by Leo and his work is so amazing. I definitely will be coming back to get more soon.

I just got the top of my foot tattooed by Fernando and it was honestly the best experience. He is incredible with such talent!! also super nice and fast which is awesome when getting a tattoo in a painful place. Very thankful for his art and making it my own unique piece. Very cool location and everyone there was nice and welcoming. I would recommend this place to anyone!!!

Could not speak more highly about this shop and its artists! I have been going to Josh Carter for a few years now, and quite literally his tattoos on my body are the ones I get THE MOST comments on. People know him by name just looking at my leg sleeve, and it is for a reason, he is THAT good. The shop is filled with good vibes and a welcoming spirit. If you are thinking about getting a tattoo from the artists in this shop, let this be your sign to go and do the darn thing!!

By far one of the greatest tattoo shops I have been too, the moment you walk in the shop, you know these are your people. From putting the up most care in making it not hurt as bad (I’m sensitive to pain) to the freakishly talented artists, I couldn’t be more stoked! I got a full sleeve done by Josh Carter and he made it better then what I could possibly imagine. They assembled a team of tattoo avengers where whatever style you want.. they got. I’ve recommended multiple friends to the shop and every single time they walk out with the fattest smile on their face. I highly recommend Dame of the West!!

I’ve had several tattoos done by Leo and he is such an amazing artist! He’s really patient with you and makes sure you are comfortable with each step in the process. He communicated with me prior to coming into the shop and answered all my questions which made the experience really chill and comfortable. I did notice some artists not wearing masks but Leo did the entire time which made me feel more relaxed (while wearing masks of my own). I am beyond satisfied with my tattoos and I’m going to be coming back for many more.

Absolutely LOVE Dame of the West! I’ve been tattooed by both Jon and Kyle who are extremely talented humans. Jon is great with bold colors and his own twist on traditional tattoos. He is always on time, willing to work with you on what you want exactly, and is very detail oriented. Kyle works with you on what you want and has a unique style that is unbeatable. Both men and very communicative and respectful. I cannot recommend Dame of the West enough!

Austin was absolutely fabulous!!! My brother and I went in with our uncle to get some spontaneous tattoos while visiting him from out of town and we were not disappointed! The shop was clean, the artists made you feel at home, and the work was awesome. Can’t say enough about this place! Thank you so much, Austin!!
