From ugly ducking to beautiful swan! It’s a great story, now. Not so much in real time. I originally met with an artist at Living Canvas who agreed to do a coverup of my ages old armband. I had exact photos of what I wanted, waited years to pull the trigger and this artist assured me he was the guy to do it. Two four-hour sessions later he’s no longer at the shop and I’m left with regret because what was on my arm is not what I envisioned. I was upset, I requested (pretty much demanded) my deposit back because I was sure no one else would touch this and I was deflated. The owner Mark agreed to give me back my deposit (it was still there because I had my next session in the books with that now gone artist). I went in to get the refund. Mark came up to me and asked if he could look at what I had. His face said exactly what I felt. Ugh. Instead of letting me go, he asked if he could talk about it and began discussing design ideas of how he’d fix it, the other artists chimed in and by the time I left that day I had a session scheduled with Mark and a solid plan. I felt more comfortable and confident than ever that I was going to get what I was hoping for in the first place. Fast forward to a few sessions later and a finished half sleeve, I am amazed at Marks ability and blow away at how gorgeous it turned out. He is a true talent!! Clean lines, perfect shading and color. You cannot recognize what was there before - it’s just beautiful. I’m glad I trusted him and will be back for more. Beyond that, the staff is friendly, shop is so clean and all around it has great energy. 10 out 10 would recommend. Thank you Mark!

This place is so great, everyone was so nice. James did a really great job. 10/10 would recommend. I was really happy with my tattoo. Definitely getting another one from him.

melanie did me and my friends tattoos!! we all got scorpion tattoos, named suzie, sally, and sammie, all different styles and locations. she did such an amazing job and made the whole session comfortable and enjoyable! my friends are talking about flying back to az just to get another tattoo from her. the shop was also very clean and beautifully decorated and the price was super reasonable. would 10/10 recommend :)

Amazing staff! Piercer was very good at what he did. got nose and industrial and it was quick and painless.Made the experience enjoyable, definitely will be returning :)

The best and longest standing tattoo shop in Tempe by Arizona State University. Amazing, health & safety-conscious owner. Nothing but top-level artists here. If you’re reading this you owe it to yourself to check this shop out.
