Lights out is hands down the best shop in Santa Cruz. Drew and Dom are both such inspiring and talented people it's so amazing. I love this shop so much the vibes are immaculate and makes u feel right at home. Cute lil cabin tucked away in the redwoods what more could u ask for!!?? I've gotten some of my favorite tattoos here and will always be returning. They're very serious about what they're doing and you can tell through the amazing work they put out into the world. I can't recommend them enough I love them!!! Congrats on living out ur dreams and being the most badass tattoo couple that exists

I had an absolutely stellar experience at Lights Out. Upon entering I was immediately warmly welcomed by both Drew and Dom who are so amazingly friendly, funny, and caring--my experience with them made me feel like we were all old friends who had known each other for years. The shop itself is SO comfortable, like, I could see myself going to just hang out there because they did such an A1 job giving the place a super inviting vibe (especially with that lil fire place during the winter ). The conversation was upbeat, funny, and real--which helped me stay distract from the tattooing. Drew hit the nail so hard on the head with the design he did for me, and the irony: I wrote less than a paragraph in my "idea email" to him... dude has a great way of making art that fits the space and flows with the body placement, and is STUNNING. There's no doubt I'll be back to see them again. Thanks you guys for an amazing experience!!

I have had the honor of getting nothing but amazing, eye catching, and just out of this world spectacular work done by both owners of Lights Out Tattoo, Dom and Drew.
When you walk into Lights Out Tatoo, you’re not greeted by individuals who are there to do a mediocre tattoo and make a quick buck. You are greeted by 2 gifted artists with years of experience and a passion for the work they produce both on skin and on canvas. As a customer, you are treated with the upmost respect and the experience is far beyond a business transaction. There is comfort to be had knowing you are in the hands of a passionate artist who is going to give you their very best work whether its your 1st time in their chair or the 10th. The attention to detail that both artists give is what makes them stand above many other artists in the surrounding area. For example, I am close to 60 miles from the studio and the drive is well worth it knowing that while I’m there, I am guaranteed the best customer service experience and exceptional work every time.
In terms of cost, as a customer, I have never felt like I had walked away from a session feeling money gouged and as though I did not receive the quality or quantity of work that I had expected to receive.
All in all, outstanding shop, owned by superb artists, who are top tier in their craft. You can’t go wrong choosing Lights Out Tattoo, Santa Cruz for the quality work you seek.
