"Shanghai Tattoo - Established 2007 Home of China’s “First Lady of Tattoo” Zhuo Dan Ting. Ms. Tings Shanghai Tattoo opened 2018 in Historic Folsom, CA. We are a high end tattoo studio with multiple resident artists who specialize in many styles unique from each other. We are primarily an appointment only studio, but we can still accept walk-ins in most cases. It is always better to call ahead to ensure availability. As a person who loves black and grey ink. I found Ms. Ting and was fortunate enough to book some time. I wanted my artist to take my clues and build an interpretation. She NAILED IT. I cannot speak any higher to the standard of the shop, the cleanliness, the vibe, the music, they always made sure I was comfortable. Ms. Ting is creative, passionate and a diligent worker. Great quality and great environment! I love this place. I’ve gotten multiple tattoos here and I have had a great experience every time. I can’t not thank Ms.Ting and Josh enough for the professionalism, comfortability and perfection during my sleeve process! Ms. Ting exceeded my expectations and made me feel comfortable the whole time while tattooing which is so important to me. I got my family crest with a Japanese temple with various other work Ting came up with! Whenever I get my next piece I know exactly where I’m going and know what to expect :) considering the item will be on my body for the reminder of my life I hold so much pride knowing I have a true artist work on my body.

Shanghai Tattoo is just straight awesome! Joshua and Ting have a great studio and it shows by the quality of work, artistic creativity, and great atmosphere. They definitely take care of their clients and are extremely professional and super friendly. Ting is so efficient and detailed when working and the end results are outstanding.
I looked around, read reviews, visited multiple other artists but I just kept going back to Shanghai Tattoo and ultimately booked with them and I am really glad I did. I had an older upper arm piece that I wanted to continue into a full sleeve. Ting did a great job extending down my forearm and the finished piece looks absolutely great.
Don’t overlook this studio. Remember, you get what you pay for and Shanghai Tattoo delivers!

I had the honor of getting a tattoo done by Ms.Ting @ her original Shanghai studio in 2015. The reason behind me getting this tattoo was extremely significant and I wanted to make sure I found only the most awesome & talented artist. I told myself If I could not find the right fit, I would just accept not getting the work done. Upon entering the Shanghai Tattoo Studio there was an immediately welcoming vibe in the air. Very hip, creative and professional. I could feel every artist in the studio was extremely passionate about their work. After looking around at all the awesome in this studio, I sat down with Ms. Ting to discuss my idea. She was so chill and confident, telling me what would work and what wouldn't in part with using her own creative spark to bring everything to the next level. I knew immediately she was the perfect artist! I could go on and on with this story but I feel you get my point. Hands down Ting is best artist I have ever come across and I feel proud and honored to have a tattoo done by her. To this day it still looks so clean and has not faded in the slightest. I am confident that any artist that Ting brings aboard is also very talented. I am so happy for Ting & Joshua, it's beautiful what they have created. If you are looking to get a tattoo on the west coast, or even in the USA for that matter I would 100% recommend Ting. She is so LIT. Also if you find yourself in SH, definitely stop by her original studio and give it some love. This team totally deserves all the success they have had thus far! Beautiful shop love the aesthetic. The owners were awesome and made you feel welcome, it did not feel like a cool guy contest in this tattoo shop. They also have some very talented artists working here definitely go check the shop out. I was tattooed be Levi Miller, I wanted something pretty weird and he drew it up exactly as I wanted it and tattooed it perfectly had a great experience.

both Ting and her staff are awesome people. her work is absolutely amazing. she is one of the best that ive ever seen. i highly recommend her. she a little more expensive, and has a long waiting list, but it is worth it.
