I got my first tattoo here. Was incredible! The artist (and owner) was patient with me before and during the tattooing. Even when I had gotten cold feet and almost canceled, she made me feel comfortable and didn’t pressure me. During the tattoo I got to hug the emotional support shrek plush. She we quick for doing suck a flawless tattoo. Although breaks where offered I decided to do it in one sitting.

Thanks to opal tattoo I have a beautiful tattoo of my sweet kitty who passed away. When I’m ready for my next tattoo I will be making another appointment with them again.

The tattoo artists (Zara, Erin, and Jackie) at Opal Tattoo Studio are very professional, talented, straightforward, kind, and cool. It's important to me to spend some of my money supporting small businesses like Opal Tattoo Studio...especially ones that practice and preach acceptance, diversity and inclusion.

You know that you'll be receiving the best care when you get a tattoo here. I haven't been tattooed by Zara (yet!), but their work ethic, talent, quality of their work, cleanliness of the shop, price, etc. is amazing. You are paying for a piece of art, as well as the tattoo artists' time and skills. I can't wait to invest more money into their artwork on my body. Jackie tattooed a heart from her Loteria- inspired flash sheet, and I love it!! Thanks all of you for being so awesome. Book your tattoo appointments!! This shop rocks!!

I just got my first tattoo done with Zara and I could not have asked for a better experience (especially considering it was my first time attempting to schedule a tattoo, discussing designs, etc.). My entire process from start to finish (submitting my design request, confirming my appointment, showing up to get my tattoo) was extremely organized and timely. The day of my appointment I knew what to do beforehand, we made sure everything on the design looked exactly how I wanted and we got started! She was very kind, easy to talk to and made sure I knew what was going on. My tattoo was a floral/paisley/mandala design and it came out fantastic! 10/10- would recommend to a friend and I would absolutely come back!

I've gotten multiple tattoos done by Zara and I love every single one of them! She is so kind, understanding, and professional. Her work is so clean and she never has an issue making adjustments to the stencil when I get there. Her shop is so fun and welcoming and she always has on a great movie... If you need a tattoo artist in the LA area, you've found it!

So I was tattooed by Erin in March of 2021 and by Zara in December of 2022. Both experiences were absolutely amazing. They were both incredibly sweet and both made me feel super comfortable during my appointment. My tattoo by Erin was my first ever tattoo and they were super patient with me, told me we can take as many breaks as I needed. My tattoo with Zara was my second tattoo and I was a bit nervous but she made me feel so at ease. And I am absolutely obsessed with both tattoos! And will definitely be going back to Opal Tattoo Studio in the future!

As someone who struggles with insane anxiety, I was so fortunate to have someone as patient and welcoming as Zara to create my first tattoo! She made me feel completely at ease. It was a great experience, and I hope to be back soon. I love having her art on my skin, and I loved being in the atmosphere of Opal Tattoo Studio!

Opal tattoo is the most welcoming tattoo shop I’ve ever been to ! Inside you’ll find some of the coolest and nicest artists in LA. They will take care of you no matter what tattoo idea you have. I've been tattooed by Zara and Erin, and love the results of both. I had my hand done by Zara, and all I asked for specifically was the daisy, for my dog Daisy, and the rest was freehand. And I am obsessed with it!! I recently got the Coraline doll on a flash day, and since that's one of my favorite movies ever, I just couldn't be happier. I get excited all over again, every time I see it. They were both not only super professional, but just generally cool people, that chatted with me the entire tattoo. I felt super welcome and comfortable at their studio, and love all the art they sell from local artists. Honestly, the only issue I have with Opal Tattoo Studio is that they are so beloved by anyone who's been tatted by them before, that you have to get to the studio HELLA early if you want to get in on a flash day. But that's not exactly an insult to them. LOL Anyway, I could talk for days about how much I love this studio, but the tattoos speak for themselves.

I got my first tattoos with Zara about a month ago and the experience was great! When communicating with her about my tattoos, she answered all my questions and worked with my budget. The day of my appointment, she made me feel super comfortable and relaxed before and during my appointment. The environment in the shop was great and not to mention, they take covid seriously so I felt super safe! My tattoos have healed beautifully and I cannot wait to go back and finish my half sleeve with her! Definitely would recommend this shop!

Had the best first time tattoo experience! The salon is incredibly inviting and feels like a safe space the very moment you walk through the doors. Couldn’t be happier with the care Zara provided from start to finish, and the beautiful piece I left with.
