Phillip Spearman Tattoo

My girlfriend flew from NY to California for a trip we booked an appointment for her to get a tattoo months in advance. She gets to California and shows up to her appointment and phillip isn't there and doesn't answer his phone. When finally contacted he made up excuses on why he wasn't there and tried to reschedule the appointment even though he had months to warn us in advance. Needless to say my girlfriend never got the tattoo and now phillip will not return the down-payment for the appointment even though he was the reason things didn't work out. This man is a thief and unprofessional I would highly recommend going to a different artist instead of taking risks with this hack.

WOULD AVOID AT ALL COSTSno showed for my appointment. Forwarding my calls and never answered the door for this appointment that was set up months in advance. Stole 200 dollars from me by not returning the deposit I had given him for tattoos I never received. Super unprofessional lied saying his phone was dead when he forwarded my calls. Do not go to will steal your deposit and not provide you with any tattoo. its a scam

I’m sorry you felt like you had a bad experience with Phil but I don’t think you are handling this properly. You said you went to court already so why do you continue to slander this man on his Instagram and reviews here on google? All you are doing is giving people a false sense of reality and trying to diminish a mans reputation while making yourself look foolish. Anyone that has been to Phil for a tattoo knows that they will receive the best quality work and Phil’s great attention to detail.

I have personally gone to Phil countless times and referred tons of friends to him. I will continue to go back to him because he makes me feel comfortable and I am above all very very happy with the work he does. I can’t stess enough Phil’s attention to detail but it really does set his work apart from others. If you want an amazing tattoo do not hesitate to call Phil. You will not be disappointed.

First off i'd like to say that Phil is straight to the point. No grey in between consultation. Tell him what you want and he'll get it done. Game plan was set and executed flawlessly to cover up my 20 year old tat. If you want it done right the first or in my case the 2nd time. Come to PHIL!

-I want to share my experience and provide a review for others going to get a tattoo from this man. After a consultation and the money up front, he sat me down for my first session.
-It took 8 hours. During that time, he took a phone call and had me by myself pacing around his shop for a FULL HOUR while he was chatting.
-During those 8 hours he did minimal work, crooked line work, and there was no symmetry for something that requires symmetry.
-We were set for our next appointment in 3 weeks. I would call him and text him about the tattoo, fixing it, and the final product.
-The man would not respond
-I then show up for my second session and he has painters plastic covering the floor of the entire shop and all his equipment. Him and his friend had been up all night painting the walls according to him. So with tired arms and eyes you want to give someone a tattoo?
-Also, if you have an appointment, why are you doing construction or not calling me to reschedule?
-That's not it! He had a carpenter in the shop building a cabinet, cutting wood with an electric saw. Saw dust flying everywhere.
-Then proceeds to tell me, he figured I could wait for an hour or so until the carpenter is done and then we can tattoo, like I don't have things going on my life.
-Like I want someone who is tired to tattoo me, especially with saw dust in the air. Can you say safety hazard?
-Then tells me he will hit me up tomorrow to set up a time this weekend or the following.
-Mind you, he has all the money for the tattoo already.
-Well, you guessed it. He never hit me up. I called him. I text him multiple times. I wait until the two weeks is over. Still no response.
-I call and leave a message and ask for my money back, and state he can keep the deposit. I text him the same thing
-Guess what happens? He calls me right back.
-Apologizes, makes excuses, then tells me he won't give me the money back.
-I sue him in small claims court.
-I win!
-He says he is a man of his word and will pay the judgement.
-You already know what happened. Nope, he didn't pay. Nope, didn't answer my call or text. Now going back into court!
-This is my experience of the famous Phillip Spearman. You make a judgement about if you want this kind of experience for a tattoo!
-I had to give one star to be able to post this. If I could post with negative stars I would!

Phillip was very cool and easy to work with. He figured out what I wanted and gave me something better than I thought. Come see him and you won't be disappointed.

I made a consultation With him about a tatoo I wanted but he didn’t show up on time and was over 30 minuets late. It said online that his shop was open but Nobody was there, I gave him a call and he sounded unprofessional on the phone. For being a well know artist I would expect better.

I wouldn’t go to anyone else but Phillip Spearman. The guy is at the top of his game and if youre not aware, you’re not in the game. You can look for flaws within anyone’s work but art is a craft and you’re either into the craftsman’s work or you’re not. Simple!! Keep hammering Phil!!

Did not show up for the appointment and ran off with the money. He will not return the deposit even though he was the no show. Would not recommend.
