Put in a request for an appointment for May 20th, 2022. Had the appoint for a few weeks before Mikey personally texted me that the whole shop got tested positive for covid. I drove by later that evening and noticed they had their open sign on. Also noticed they posted that walk-ins are welcome on Facebook the Friday before the appointment on Sunday. Very unprofessional, lazy and a bad look on the both the shop and the artist. I really admire everybody’s art but wish it wouldn’t be this hard to book an appointment. This was not the first time that I had contacted the shop for an appointment with a bad experience. Contacted about another artist and received absolutely no response. Don’t recommend if time is valuable to you.

If you want the best here is the shop for you! I’ve been going to Drew for 6 years now and suggest him to everyone who is looking for a new artist. He takes his time on every piece he does to make sure it’s perfect. He is also the kindest person. He is also very professional and always makes me feel safe/comfortable which is very important as a woman. If you want a beautiful original piece in a clean, safe, and chill environment this is the shop for you.

I was referred by my girlfriend who got a piece from Drew a while back and had nothing but great things to say about the shop/Drew. After doing some research, I ended up making an appointment for a memorial piece in March with Pat Kim through Hangman’s online system for a date in April 2021. Weeks after making my appointment, Pat personally texts me and says he double booked so we have to reschedule for a date in June. The day before the appointment in June, Pat tells me he once again that he double booked and he won’t be able to tattoo me. I would’ve drove 2 hours to placerville if I hadn’t contacted the store directly to ‘confirm’ the appointment. When I did call the store, they said my appointment wasn’t even in the calendar.
It’s frustrating that everything was handled so unprofessionally and unorganized. Pat blamed his 2 mistakes with booking me for the new online system and not always keeping up with it, and that shouldn’t be my problem. The store should train everyone on the new system and have standards in place so clients aren’t wasting their time booking with artists. I shouldn’t have to worry about an appointment I book out 2 months in advance. I was double booked the first time and Pat made me reschedule and he expected me to do it again — I would’ve thought he’d make the other appointment reschedule considering I already have?
Made the appointment specifically so I could celebrate my late Uncle’s birthday after passing last Christmas. I was patient enough to wait with Pat because I really admired his tattoo work and I wanted him for the memorial piece, but it sucks that my time just wasn’t valued at all. I can’t speak for all the artists and the shop itself, but I’m giving it 1 star based on my personal experience. I hope no one else is experiencing this many complications just trying to make an appointment!

Had an appointment at a different shop for three of us to get tattoos. Owner of the shop never showed up or called so we gave this shop a call to see what they could do. Wasnt expecting much because of the very short notice we gave them, but when we went in the staff was super accommodating to us and Drew knocked out all 3 of the tattoos. Very nice staff and high quality of work. Definitely will be returning and would recommend this shop to everyone.
