Sailors Grave Tattoo is filled with amazing artists. I've gotten two pieces done by Jonny who does really really solid work. The shop (especially after the remodel) is really cool and filled with original art pieces. It's one of those places that entertain your eyes and all the art around is really inspiring. The atmosphere is really friendly and the artists are polite and considerate. They take walk ins (I'd suggest calling first,) and are open 7 days a week. I'd suggest this place to a first timer since the artists here aren't afraid to tell you their opinions on what works best when it comes to their artwork. They'll make sure your first tattoo is something you can be proud of. SGT is officially my favorite shop in San Diego and I'll be coming back for sure!
