This tattoo place is absolutely phenomenal. It’s super clean and professional and our tattoo artist was impeccable. I came in for only two small ones on my wrists and ended up with two more big ones on my chest and arm. I would send anyone here that is interested in tattoos! This place rocks! We also chose this place because of the quality of inks and toxin free ink. Michael Dematty is seriously a genius and his work is excellent!!

I saw Brucius here, after admiring his work for years. He was well worth the wait. We spent at least a couple hours just sitting together, working on the design of the tattoo. When the time came, he was meticulous and precise, but with awesome bedside manner. I don't have the greatest pain tolerance, but he coached me through it and I adore my new tattoo. The whole Black and Blue staff were friend, courteous, and professional! Definitely will come back here for more work.

Got a super cute tattoo from WHO and I love it. Their tattoos are a lil pricy, definitely gotta plan ahead for it, but they get in a really good quality tattoo quick. Very clean, very thorough throughout, all the employees were super nice and helpful. WHO’s work is incredibly vibrant and colorful, but they also do a fantastic job with line work and lettering. I wouldn’t have ended our visit to SF any other way- with a souvenir I get to see everywhere I go everyday! If you have the time and money, hit them up for sure!

I cannot express how happy I am with the tattoo I received from Idexa at her shop Black & Blue. She was so great to work with. I came in with a concept of what I wanted and Idexa made it a reality. The process was very collaborative and I really enjoyed getting to know her. Idexa's style is bold and abstract but many independent contractors work at her shop so if that is not your style, there is plenty of variety to choose from. Everyone I interacted with in the shop was incredibly kind and professional. They take their job very seriously and are clean, careful and courteous. Would highly recommended this shop.
