I contacted Brian for a cover up, I sent him a couple of pictures of my old tattoo and gave him a few ideas of what I wanted to cover it up with ,he gave me a quote and i was cool with it. The appointment day he seemed irritated with everything that I'd say or suggest, suddenly he ask me for $200 over the price we agreed upon, I was there already so I agreed to that. 2 hours in I told him that I needed to put more money on the parking meter ( 2 hours is the max on SF meters) my car was literally in front of his shop , he told me that if I wanted to exit his shop I had to pay him entirely otherwise he would not let me go to my car , even when my phone , car keys and wallet were seating in a chair, awful, so I paid him, he even told me that I should have parked in a garage instead of in the street ( he never mentioned that on his emails ) , he was in a rush to finish my tattoo, I have full sleeves in both arms and I have several other parts of my body tattooed so I'm not new to this, but this experience was not good at all, to say the least and the tattoo he gave me is horrible , this tattoo was expensive and I could have gotten something better in prison, I was expecting something at least "decent" not a big black blob.

Brian is an absolute amazing artist. If you are looking for a REALISM tattoo artist he is your man. I wanted to replicate a river I grew up going to every year and where I take my kids. He put a few pen marks on my arm and said to trust him that it would turn out great...and it did. I couldn't be happier with the way everything turned out. He is very easy to work with, hears you out, and provides you with exactly what you are imagining and some. His shop is very clean and comfortable. I sat in the chair for 6.5 hours with ease. Well.....besides the fainting part. He even kicked butt getting me back up...grabbed me a coke, some food, and some air and I was ready to keep going. Really...don't look any further. He is phenomenal. He is very reasonable as well compared to many other SF artists.
