cannot recommend this shop enough. they are such a talented and personable group of artists. i’ve had the majority of my tattoos done at electric monarch, and i can honestly say i’m incredibly satisfied with each one. whether you’re showing up for a walk in, or scheduling an appointment, they will absolutely exceed your expectations and give you some sick artwork. 10/10 :)

I drove up from Pasadena to get tattooed by Daniel and it was well worth the trip. Great guy, great artist and a great shop. The shop is potentially the cleanest shop I've ever visited and it was easy to park out back. Will definitely make the trip again.

I went in for a black and grey tattoo with Josh Rodriguez. When I saw his work on social media it became obvious he was the guy for the tattoo I had in mind. My expectations were exceeded! The establishment was clean, professional, friendly, and welcoming. Josh himself is a great artist and a pleasure to work with. I plan on coming back for more.

This was my second time getting tattooed by Rennie, first time at Electric Monarch. Everything about the experience was great! Rennie is so talented and has such a knack for color. My wife and I passed through SLO on our honeymoon road trip and stumbled upon Electric Monarch due to the good reviews we read online. Within 2 minutes within meeting our artist, Trevor, we were sold. He was gentle, kind ,welcoming, and made us feel comfortable right off the bat. We gave him 2 ideas and he drew up 2 beautiful pieces. The line work on the tats are bold and defined. I am overjoyed with how they came out and they are easily one of the best on our body!! Overjoyed, thanks for being a part of our wedding journey.

Me and my boyfriend are from the Fresno area and we were searching for an artist to tattoo a small logo-like line design on our wrists on our beach trip and we walked into this shop and it was BEAUTIFUL! The shop is beautifully designed and spacious and very welcoming :) Skylar was so inviting and friendly and just overall amazing to have as a tattooer. Through the whole process he was talkative and very attentive to everything and made sure there was no discomfort. The tattoos came out amazing and the lines are so perfectly straight and line up perfectly ( our tattoo design has lines crossing through each other) and overall was literally the best tattoo experiences my boyfriend and I have ever had! We are definitely going to be coming back! 1000/10

If you're looking for an awesome down to earth person who is talented to give you exactly the tattoo you want, please consider Skylar! And if there isn't a tattoo you exactly want, Electric Monarch has plenty of art and flashes to choose from that are the most beautiful traditional styled pieces. There's so many awesome choices that I can easily see myself being covered in ink in no time. After my first visit I made an appointment for a second tattoo. I highly recommend.

My daughter’s and I were in SLO for the weekend. On our way into town we decided to walk in as we had been thinking about getting a tattoo for years. We were not quite sure what we wanted, we just knew we wanted a tattoo. We talked with the owner, Skylar. He suggested we not overthink it and gave us some things to think about as we were clearly not ready. That night back at the hotel we brainstormed and figured out what we wanted.
The next day we went back hoping they could take all of us. Trevor and Skylar did a great job! They knew how scared we were. They were super cool and patient with us. We are so glad that our first tattoo experience was here.
Very clean place, masks worn during process. Highly recommend it!
