Rocked up and got an epic ear tattoo. Kaitlyn was totally cool and receptive to my ideas and indecision. Such a chill and friendly shop. My fiancé got a tattoo from Maddy that was so fresh he came up with a concept on the spot and they worked out beautifully. Defiantly check this spot out. Plus you get a free sticker for a review. All around sweet deal.

This place was awesome. It’s a coastal shop so it gets busy. The staff was incredibly friendly and funny. Most tattoo places I have been everyone acts tough, but these guys were nice. They say their going over every aspect of the design with customers. It really was a top notch place to go. And their work is great.

Visiting Santa Cruz for my daughter's 21st and decided to surprise her with the getting a tattoo she wanted us to get. Santa Cruz Tattoo was able to get us in right away. Shannon did both mine and my daughtes tattoo and they came out great! Staff was all super sweet, atmosphere was clean and inviting. Will definitely be back the next time we are in town! I was quite a handful for this tattoo shop, I texted them about coming in on Friday but a family emergency happened so I only could come in on Saturday, they totally understood and we're on it on messaging me back. I totally appreciate that! Due to being an inconvenience I was a bit worried of what my appointment would be like, would they be nice and what kind of environment would it be. They were all so kind! Nate (Mr. BLT Nate)whom was the individual who was tattooing me was great. Kept a conversation and made me feel comfortable, he's definitely a cool dude. He did an amazing job on my tattoos ( a bee and a lady bug in black and grey). I will update pics once healed.

Don’t come here for a tattoo. Seriously. Me and my friend came in for a walk in and they took us pretty quickly, but I immediately got the vibe that we weren’t going to be taken seriously being college students. And I know it’s because of that, because reading the reviews of other people who were older, it seems like they got a better experience interaction-wise. The energy of the whole place was so awkward and hostile, like we were burdens. We got really simple tattoos, but the line work is absolutely horrible and uneven. I don’t know how the other artists are but Shannon, the guy who did our tattoos, was literally drinking on the job??? Just go somewhere else if you don’t want to regret your tattoo.

Shannon was amazing! Super easy to work with and very friendly/personable. Has a light hand and works quick! Shop was clean and is right by the Boardwalk/Warf! Will definitely be coming back!

I absolutely love this place! I was on a search for somewhere that was open to doing the drawing I found, and this crew was more than happy to help me. The planning process was so smooth and I really felt like they were hearing me out on my questions and concerns. Nate did my tattoo and he did an awesome job. Super cool and easy going guy. I had nice conversations with him and he was super friendly. Every once in a while he would ask me if I was okay while tattooing and I found that really comforting. The tattoo finished faster than I thought it would have (because this is my second tattoo, I had no idea how long it would take) but it still turned out amazing. Thank you Nate & the stellar crew at Santa Cruz Tattoo!!!! 🤍

Nate followed up, and got us an appointment quickly. He gave my mom, my husband, and myself matching palm tree tattoos. It was my mother's first tattoo, she just turned 66yr old. It was an amazing experience. Professional and very clean. I would definitely recommend Santa Cruz tattoo shop. 🌴🌴🌴
