Studio 38 Tattoo and Gallery

This was my first tattoo so my perspective is definitely from the viewpoint of a newbie.

John was really great to work with. He heard what I wanted, offered his own advice which I greatly appreciated, and went on to offer other perspectives of his that resonated well with me. His first interpretation of what I wanted was spot on and I was prepared expecting to want to make changes. I didn't. When I saw what he drew up it was exactly what I wanted. The tattoo experience was great. He was quick and methodical and friendly to BS with.

I will definitely be getting more ink with John at Studio 38.

Great little shop in downtown Castle Rock with a great view and lots of natural light. Artists are down to earth and honest with their opinions; they will tell you honest feedback of why an idea won’t work opposed to agreeing with you and getting into the tattoo only to have it turn out bad or not work out as other artists often do just to make sale and get you in their shop. Drew, John, and Dan are all professionals and have clean line work and solid portfolios. Good group of guys and would let anyone of them tattoo me!

John and Dan were the artist working with myself, husband and daughter today, but all the artist in the shop were friendly and it was a very comfortable experience. All the artist are very professional and talented, have beautiful galleries and I will be recommending them to others. We will definitely be back sooner than later! Thank you for our beautiful art.

I can’t say Thank You enough. My first tattoo. Provided ideas to Dan for what I wanted and I think he did amazing work with it. I love it! Highly recommend!

Not a great experience. The tattoo I got was great but faded quick so I needed a touch up. They took their sweet time to get back to me. Didn’t appreciate that. I let them know that the town wouldn’t be happy with the way they were doing business. So my touch up did not go super great. Hostle environment, Not an establishment that belongs in my home town.

Masterful work from John doing my kids handprint and extending an existing piece up from my forearm. If you are looking for a great clean shop with lots of talent and good atmosphere (as well as the best music playlist) go see anyone in this shop. I’ll be back for more work as soon as I can.

Dan, the man, was on time and did a GREAT job on a left calf tatt. He finished earlier than expected and was a little cheaper than quoted. This is a clean, professional, top notch facility and I will absolutely go back…soon.

I'm so happy with the whole experience! Dan was wonderful--easy to talk to, patient, helpful, and not pushy. He did everything exactly how I wanted it (and maybe even a little better than what I had in mind to start). Great atmosphere, great people, clean, roomy. I can't recommend it enough!

Dan was terrific! He did matching tattoos for me and my best friend
. I was worried how it llooked next day. I texted picture and they responded immediately even though they were closed. They assured me it was normal. I feel confident of his work. The office is clean and has great view. They are professional and have great customer service. Thanks Dan!!
