I truly cannot say enough amazing things about Raw Canvas. I got a half sleeve done over two back to back days and greatly enjoyed my time just being in the studio and feeling the vibe of this great little community of artists. Melora did my piece and was wonderful to work with, the quality of anything you get done here by any of the artists is among the best in the country.
Note that this is not the place you go to get a quick tattoo on a whim: this is where you go after you've thoroughly researched and thought through your design and want a permanent, quality piece of art on your body. Expect to be patient as the artists are all in high demand and have specific booking protocol but the wait is well worth it! The space is also exceptionally clean/well tended to and Melora sends you off with specific aftercare instructions and products to make sure your piece will last a lifetime. I definitely hope to return here if I'm wanting more work done in the future!

All I can say is wow. Justin and his crew do outstanding work. He is a incredibly talented artist with amazing vision and a true desire to create beautiful artwork that symbolizes your favorite elements of life.
His studio is awesome, the crew vibe so well, they have really created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. You feel the good energy and positive energy throughout your experience.
Justin is super welcoming and really listens to what you feel needs to be incorporated, then takes those random thoughts and creates some of the best tattoos in the country.
I believe he is helping to build a new and inclusive society in a town that desperately needs this energy and love.
His books usually only open 1/2 times a year, so be prepared to book, follow his amazing Instagram for details.
Grand Junction has a ton of cute restaurants and things to do, so take a few days before the tattoo to explore the place!
