Shield Maiden Tattoo

Honestly, I just had the best tattoo experience of my existence. My girlfriend and I called last minute to ask about a walk in appointment and were still invited to come in 30 minutes before they closed! We walked in to such an awesome environment. Jules and Raleigh were so friendly from the beginning. Truly genuine people who wanted to offer the best service. Not only were they great people to talk to/get to know, but they did fantastic work! When we left the shop we were in awe of what an unreal experience we had at As You Like It.

The best tattoo experience I have ever had. Because it was such a positive experience, I look down at my tattoo and am given joy because of the truly great experience it was. In addition, I was cared for by the artist Juliet, she is a warm person, she also makes you feel comfortable by forming a connection with you before sticking you with a needle. She has a gentle hand and my tattoo healed perfectly with the care she put into the art and the after care instructions she gave, my tattoo never peeled and looks just as I like it.

I waited 42 years to get my first tattoo. So trust me, I wasn't going to take picking my tattoo artist lightly. After spending time researching other shops, their artists' works, and reading all of their reviews, I decided that As You Like It was the right fit for me. Raleigh was easy going, willing to do the tattoo based on my design and ready with a steady hand. There was no BS...and perhaps even more importantly, there was absolutely no ego. The shop is so comfortable that even my wife and 1 year old daughter were happy hanging out and watching the ink get done.

If you want someone to place a permanent piece of art on your body, then being well cared for should be your top priority. Making this shop the place to be.

Rachel did a wonderful job through the whole process. She replied quickly to all my questions and was very accommodating. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was clean and was following all the necessary covid precautions. And she did a great job with my tattoo. It is so delicate and beautiful. I am so thankful for everything.

Juliette came highly recommended and she exceeded my expectations and then some. She took an image I had in my head and brought it to life. It's a beautiful tattoo, one that I want to show off because it makes me feel so good. We laughed and she made it such a great experience, especially for my first tattoo - and an upper chest one at that.

I could not have picked a better place to get my first tattoo. From the beginning, Rachel was so wonderful and helpful in dealing with all of my questions and concerns. She’s super knowledgeable and professional, very hygienic, and above all incredibly talented! My tattoo came out exactly as I imagined and has healed beautifully. Cannot recommend enough!

I luckily found Juliette from browsing the internet, and I am so happy I found her. I went to her with a piece to memorialize my father who had recently passed. It was a piece that meant a lot to me and Juliette treated it like it was the most important tattoo. The detail and thought she put into making it the perfect piece really resonated with me.

In addition to that, Juliette is the first tattoo artist I've felt comfortable talking to and giving honest feeback to. She showed me the designed a month before the tattoo appointment to give me time to think of any changes I may want to make beforehand.

I will never go to another tattoo shop!

My hat is off to this wonderful place to relax and put your mind onto your body. Raleigh and Jules are incredible artist and amazing people. The only place I would go for ink. Within the last couple of month's I and my family have had the pleasure of meeting and getting tattooed by Jules and Raleigh. They have some amazing ideas and do really good work at your comfort level. Thank you both for being awesome!!

My husband and I got almost matching (unicorn) tattoos from Jule and Raliegh about a year ago. We each had the same design as each artist did one but they turned out a little differently, which ended upbeing really cool because they are very similar yet unique. We had a really good experience with them - they had flexible schedules and also some of the best rates (with good quality) in the Boulder region. Professional, yet down to earth (which can also be hard the find in the area). We also had are baby with us at the time and they were very welcoming of her and it felt like a comfortable environment to have in her. Also, I was breastfeeding at the time and they helped me make an informed decision about whether getting a tattoo at the time was right for me (and the baby) or not.

Rachel was amazing! She made me feel comfortable and did an incredible job on my two tattoos! I highly recommend visiting her!
