Rick at Junkyard Ink are the real deal and best tattoo artist in the Boulder-Denver area. Ricks detail and skill with “grey washed” tattoos and fine lines is impeccable. Everything is custom. I had to work him over to do the traditional Americana style tiger. However Rick is actually easy to work with, open to collaboration with the client, reasonably priced, and has decades of experience. I plan to be using Junkyard Ink exclusively for all my future tattoos.

Just went to get a quote after work drove All the way there from frederick! the door says they’re open till 8 PM and so does online. we knocked on the door there was a women tattoo artist sitting inside looked at us we knocked and she didn’t even bother to open the door and all we wanted was a quote oh well your loss guess you don’t need our business! Taking my business elsewhere

He managed to design very creative images that captured what we were looking for, and his application was precise and gentle. He’s not only a true artist, but also a super friendly and fun guy. Kevin Cole is a wonderfully patient and talented artist! He has done three tattoos for me now and they are all wonderful!! He worked with me over the phone to nail down exactly what I wanted and was not phased by my slight indecisiveness. His prices are fair and his art is legit. His talent goes beyond his comfort zone of skulls and things that are typically dark and sinister. He is amazing!!
