Had my monroe done twice in a row. 1st attempt they lost the ball and after dragging me around by my upper lip for a few mins to find it the barbell needed to be changed to a longer one. 2nd attempt was done by another guy and went much better than the initial attempt. Refuse to go back for ANYTHING!

Emily did such good work, prices were very fair and she holds really good conversation. We chose to get spontaneous tattoos and she had a cancellation and was able to fit us in. Even with very little prep time Emily was able to draw up an amazing idea, and the shading and line work was unbelievable!!! Do not have to worry about any kind of sanitary issues she follows everything and does it right in front of you. Will definitely be back to get more work done. I would suggest if you can to make an appointment because she is so good she will be booked. If I could give her 6 stars ****** I would!!!

Josh was AMAZING!! I got my second tattoo done by him today and I was super nervous because I wanted it on my ribs but he was very patient with me. He made me feel very comfortable and laugh. He made the tattoo as quick and painless as possible! I love my rose it is beautiful and the lines are so clean.

It’s nice to walk into the shop with confidence in your artist. As a customer you can speak to Josh about any Questions and Concerns Before, During, and After the tattoo. Great down to earth guy that loves his job.

I was tattooed by Josh today and it looks awesome! I went in a few days ago to make an appointment and had a reference photo to give the artist an idea of what I wanted. Josh really digged the idea but said he'd make it more realistic and it would look A LOT better then the photo I had. He did not disappoint. The design is great and the colors are very vibrant. He completely understood the vision I had for this piece. Everyone at the shop was very friendly and the shop has great energy. I've been tattooed quite a bit and feel that Josh was very fair with the pricing of my piece. I highly recommend this shop!!!
Update: I've had my tattoo a little over a year and it looks pretty awful. When it healed it got pretty muddy looking. I haven't had a chance to go back in and talk to Josh about it. I still like the shop, but Josh was late and I needed to get to work so the tattoo was rushed and I think that is part of why my tattoo looks the way it does. I've since been tattooed at another shop in town and feel a lot more comfortable going to them for all my future ink.

Jesus did a wonderful job on my tattoo. Took the time to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. His shading work is excellent. I get many compliments and think it turned out beautifully. He was very pleasant to work with. Josh tattooed my husband also and is an amazing artist. I highly recommend Valkyries and would certainly have Jesus do any of my future tattooing. Best experience my husband and I have had at a tattoo parlor, and we have had some past experiences.

I absolutely loved my experience here. All of these fantastic reviews are not exaggerations by any means! I had Josh as my artist, and he made sure that I was as comfortable as possible (which was especially important because it was my first tattoo)! They're really willing to work with your budget and ideas. I never felt unwelcome at any point in my time here. Also, Josh was really honest about the art he does, and is thorough in explaining his process. If he feels he isn't the one to bring your ideas to life, he'll be honest with you and refer you to someone else he thinks will be more suited to you and your piece. All in all, I had a wonderful time here and I can't wait to come back when I want another tattoo!

I had a fantastic experience from start to finish. Josh went above and beyond to make the scheduling work & to design the tattoo exactly as I wanted it. The entire time I was there I felt comfortable (not the 'forgotten' or 'in the way' feeling you get a lot of places). Both of my tattoos turned out perfectly - the detail work is right on point, which I can't say about tattoos I've had in the past. This was my first experience with Valkyrie's. I went because a good friend recommended them (and the tattoos she had done there are gorgeous), and I look forward to have more tattoos done there in the future. Having tattoos truly is not just about having the art done right - it's about feeling that the staff has personal integrity, & that they actually care that you're enjoying the experience there, both of which I can say were my experience at this shop.
