Valkyrie's Tattoo

I went to get a dermal piercing and before I came here I'd stopped by a couple of places. One who wouldn't do the piercing at all... I decided to come here and I'm glad that I did. I didn't have a long wait time the place is very clean &nice & the piercing was done well. I believe that his name was Josh... this is my 3rd piercing (second dermal) the others are now out& I can say that this particular one healed correctly and I've had no issues! Thank you!

My first tattoo was done by Josh and what an amazing artist he is! The shop is very clean and everyone is so nice, knowledgeable, and just fantastic!! I found my forever tattoo shop and can't wait to finish my first and move on to my second! I'm addicted 😁

EVERY GOOD THING YOU HAVE HEARD ABOUT THIS SHOP IS TRUE. Best Shop in Gainesville and best I've ever been to by far. Don't even waste your time looking at any other shop because none will compare. It is very clean and sanitary. Everyone there makes you feel comfortable and very personable. Josh did "Never Forget" on my chest. Never seen anyone else do letters this clean and straight. i am a person who is very picky and any imperfection is not good enough, but Josh did it perfectly. Will go back there for every other tattoo i get. High Recommend. A++++++++++++++++++

I went to valkyries for my first visible tattoo on my wrist, the shop was extremely clean, quiet, and all around comfortable and relaxing. Josh Montiel did my tattoo and he was very friendly and respectful, he answered all my questions and made me feel completely at ease. Josh took my general idea and made it into something fantastic he is a true artist. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

I went to Valkyrie's with a basic tattoo design and was blown away by the image Josh came up with. Only a true artist can take an abstract idea and turn it in to a jaw dropping tattoo design. Josh is a true master of what he does and that passion shows with his work. The shop has a great atmosphere and all of the equipment is clean and sanitized; they even use organic ink (I did not know this was even a thing). Overall I am 100% satisfied with the work I received and would recommend Valkyrie's Tattoo & Body Piercing to anyone in and around the Gainesville area.

Got a back tattoo by Josh with multiple roses and they came out BEAUTIFUL. The staff is very kind and down to earth. Overall a great atmosphere with great artists. Definitely coming back for more work here!

Valkyrie's Tattoo is a wonderful place and I strongly recommend it to anyone looking to get a great tattoo or piercing. The facility is very sterile, almost seeming like a dentist's office, but far more relaxed. Good lighting, cozy, and clean. Everyone there is friendly and I've always had a good experience with the piercer, Christopher (got nose and cartilage done with him).
I got a large phoenix tattoo on my thigh done by Josh Montiel. I was apprehensive at first because, while researching other tattoo studios, some of the guys at Body Tech were trash talking Josh, insulting the quality of his work. I am now 100% certain that was complete jealousy because Josh's work is PHENOMENAL. His work is real art. He has a fantastic talent for picking up on the vision you have for your tattoo. Too many artists fail to consider your vision and would rather tattoo what they personally think would look cool, event though YOU are the one who will have this tattoo forever. Quite fortunately, Josh does not suffer from a typical tattoo artist's egotism. He listens to you and makes extremely helpful suggestions, all while never imposing. It definitely seems like he loves what he does.
Also a super nice, very easy guy to be around, which is important when you consider how much time one spends in close proximity with an artist. He is truly a professional, simultaneously easing your nerves and talking to you about procedure. There was never a point in which I felt uncomfortable about asking questions and he insisted I wasn't a pussy for deciding to hold off on color (whew, it was 4 hours of tattooing!), while I know some artists would have behaved oppositely.
On a final note, the pricing is very fair, whether it's a tattoo or piercing, particularly with student discount. Valkyrie also does flat rates, which I love because you know up front how much the charge will be, as well as there being no hurry or pressure to take fewer breaks, etc, etc. You could probably find cheaper places or people, but honestly, you just won't get as cool or clean of a tattoo. Getting a tattoo is permanent and can be dangerous. Do you really want to try shelling out spare change for something like that? Do yourself a favor and skip the potential infection and/or awful ink. Don't go cheap.
I now have this tattoo that looks AWESOME; I just want to show it off to everyone. I'm so happy that I made the decision to go with Valkyrie, and I can't wait to go back in 3 weeks to get some color done. Love these guys.

Best tattoo parlor in Gainesville! Josh Montiel is AMAZING :) He makes you feel so comfortable and at home. Being my first tattoo was done by him, I didn't feel nervous or unsatisfied. the 100 + questions I asked he answered perfectly which made me feel like I chose the right guy. I am so happy with my tattoo and how everything went I would never debate going anywhere else for my future ones!
