Absolutely love this place. Took a while to get into Selena's seat, but I wouldn't want anyone else. She is a master at floral art, and her passion translates into utterly amazing tattoos. I've been getting a full sleeve worked on all year and I have gotten so many comments on it, typically daily when I'm out and about. The line work, the colors, the shading... all incredible. Highly recommended.

This place is the best. I have gotten 3 tattoos here and it is the only place I'll ever go. They take cleanliness and safety very seriously and the artists are incredible. All my work has been done by Selina who is so ridiculously good at her job and goes out of her way to ensure I have a great experience every time. It's hard to get an appointment with any of them, but for good reason. Highly recommended if you want a beautiful custom piece of art on your body.

I couldn’t say enough good things about Black Hive. I got tattooed by Alex Gama and he did an awesome job! The whole shop is super clean and everyone was very professional. Met a few of the other artists while I was there and everyone seems awesome. I will for sure be back for more work.

Treating tattoos as art, and a shop as a place of medical cleanliness. The artists here are engaging and kind, with an eye towards what looks good in a year, in 10 year, and even longer. I have two large thigh pieces, and one is about ten years old and people still stop me to exclaim over the design and color. Easily one of the best shops in the Southeast.

Best shop in Jacksonville. All the artists are incredibly dedicated to their craft as well as their clients. The shop is very private, clean, and the staff makes sure your experience is comfortable for you. If you’re going to get tattooed for hours at a time, you should go somewhere it’ll suck the least to get stabbed. This is definitely the place.

I went to Black Hive in late May. Didn't expect to get in. Got in for luckily. Loved the place and the vibe. Liked how it wasn't like other tattoo places where they didn't care about you and what you wanted. Colbey Joyce was my artist and was super awesome and supportive for my first tattoo. Showed him what I wanted and got what I wanted and more. Truly amazing experience and loved him and the shop for being able to provide that.
