My daughter and I had tattoos done today by Justin. We cannot say enough good things about our experience! His artwork is phenomenal, he is patient and kind and pays great attention to detail. He listened to our ideas and came up with such beautiful designs. We have found our permanent tattoo artist, he gave me a tattoo I will treasure always. We will definitely be back to Mockingbird Tattoo studio to see Justin!!

I filled out the appropriate form for a tattoo here. All I was looking to get was a floral design across my chest and I included several pictures of my ideas. I would've been able to pay whatever they were going to ask and be open to any ideas they had to make my tattoo work. I was contacted within hours. Someone from the shop reached out to me via email for more information. After I replied to that email, nobody responded to me for several days. The other messages I received from them were lightning fast so I waited a bit and sent another email requesting information. I was told in one sentence: "Sorry we can't help you." No reason was given. They couldn't even set up a consultation with me to discuss the tattoo, or even provide a reason why my service was refused. I moved here a few years ago and have many tattoos already. All of them I got back in my home state and still I've never been treated like that anywhere. If they really value or care about their customers, I feel that they could have at least had me in for a consultation where they could explain any issues to me, tweak my ideas, and explore new ideas. You know. At least pretend to want to help me, and try to open a relationship with a potential customer. It's okay, though. They lost a lot of business with me as I have many tattoo needs and need a home shop. xx :(

UPDATE AFTER RESPONSE FROM OWNER: Shame on you for trying to shame me about what tattoos I have on my body! You'd think a TATTOO PARLOR would have more sensitivity and professionalism! Someone contacts you for help with a coverup and you ridicule them for what they have there? It's all good. I tell everyone I know how unpleasant you people are and how rude you have been to me! It's your business, not mine!
I am working with a different tattoo shop that drew me up a gorgeous sketch the same day, sat down and discussed ideas with me, texted and communicated with me for every appointment, and tweaked their design to fit my vision. I guess the artists at Mockingbird aren't good enough to pull off (or even attempt) a coverup! Good luck!

Dana was super on point we told her what we want and she hooked it up. It was simple but perfect. She was nice talkative steady and soft hand and clean. The shop was clean and friendly we went to Z-edge and they weren’t as nice or welcoming so we walked out. Definitely will be back for more tats or touch ups!

I wanted a red wing blackbird as tribute to my father but was worried about it being predominantly black. Jason Keene gave me an excellent tattoo with vibrant shading and color. The experience was great. The shop is extremely clean and comfortable and everyone was very friendly and professional. I definitely recommend this shop and Jason was awesome to work with. Can't wait for my next tattoo!

I absolutely love the work Dana did on my tattoo! She was so kind and creative and absolutely loved that she created something so special that I will have forever. I will definitely be coming back! Excellent work!!

i went in today to get my first tattoo and i loved it. all the tattoo artist were so sweet especially jason, my tattoo artist. the place was clean and because of corona, they made sure to keep every sterilized and even had mask to wear just in case you didn’t have any. i would 100% recommend going here!!!

I stayed in Sarasota from out of town to be specifically seen by Radha for a first time large tattoo. This tattoo was an important bucket list item following recent diagnosis of stage 4 metastatic cancer. Radha was professional, supportive, and detailed in her skills resulting in a tattoo that exceeded my expectations. I also found that all the staff at Mockingbird Tattoo Company are supportive towards each other creating a warm environment

I had a new tattoo done and an old one touched up by Jason Keene at Mockingbird Tattoo. He does amazing work! The new one looks perfect and the old one looks better than it did new. The shop was clean and everyone was laid back and friendly. I would definitely recommend going there! I will be going back next time I'm in the area.

Words cannot describe how wonderful the entire experience was. Rhada listened to the design idea, and it was like she was inside my head. I could not even imagine how PERFECT my tattoo turned out. Every single artist in this shop is AMAZING, and this is the cleanest shop in the industry! Looking forward to the next one!!!!!
