It's been a few years since I've gotten my tattoo here, but since it popped up as a place I've been and was asked to rate, so sure!
I received a tattoo from Miya Bailey. He's one of the owners of COI (and that most of that block now). Hes pretty accessible, so I tried to talk about what I wanted him to do and he denied me. Said we'd talk about it when the time comes. That was pretty weird to me, but since I was paying a decent penny, I figured maybe it was normal to him.
Appointment day came. We talked a bit about what I had in mind, we did what they're known for doing, he drew the tattoo on me and asked if I liked it. It was fuxking perfect!! I don't know what kind of tattoo gun he used, but it wasn't as loud and eased my nerves a little. He was gentle, not creepy, and just a really cool person.
Hands down, the best tattoo experience I've ever had.
If not him, everyone there is really good and creative. You should definitely stop by.

LOVE LOVE LOVE my COI family! i STILL get compliments on my cover up by Ricky Havok TIL this DAY! City of Ink is definitely more than your regular / traditional tattoo shop and/or brand Miya Bailey has gone above and beyond to create community and respect for people who like to buy and wear art.

This was my first tongue piercing so I was low key shook she didn't feed into my nervous energy which actually put me at ease. She was patient she answered my questions. And she shared a little about herself which made it feel personal and not like it was just a gig for her. I got my tongue and my nose done at the same time. And surprisingly it wasn't bad at all. I was able to speak and eat I don't know if it was unique to me or the way she pierced me but I had not experience what I read recovery was like. I can't wait to go back.
The shop
Very clean incredibly professional I believe the guy at the desk name was Chris. He was cool answered all my questions. Dope art on the walls. Great energy in the place and black owned.
I will definitely support this business and I look forward to going back.
Thanks again

This shop has such a good vibe. Everyone was friendly. My artist was Goldie and she was a dream to work with. Kind, communicative, and patient. She did an amazing job on the design we put together. Would definitely visit the shop again and Goldie is my Atlanta tattoo artist for sure.

Iβm so pleased with my first tattoo experience with Roger Anthony. From consultation to approaching my final session, he carried himself well with professionalism and trustworthiness. I was so excited about this first tattoo, and I was happy to find he was too. His dedication to detail with the design and perfecting his craft with sharing the vision and expectations for both sessions made me feel comfortable and in great hands. Thank you Roger, I love your work!

I called ahead of time to make sure they were available to do walk ins on a Sunday they told me they were. When I walked in we talked to the guy at the front he had great service and gave a valid estimate and was kind and very chill. I had Max as my artist and he did a great job, very clean lines and neat font. And the price was amazing for what I got. And wait time wasnβt bad at all. Would recommend to anyone.

I arrived close to closing on a Saturday night. Despite my friend having a very difficult time parking, Amani and Duce still took us on as clients that night. I personally had a rough experience and got dizzy, but Amani was very gentle and kind despite it making the appointment last longer. She had a wonderfully steady hand, and my friend's tattoo with Duce also turned out fantastic. I was a harder client for them, especially since I made it go late, but everyone was very kind. I would definitely recommend this place!
Journey Brave
The coolest shop in the city. The type of cool that's contagious. The best kinda cool, like when Big Boi said "Cooler than a polar bear's toe nails..." That kinda cool. And their work is amazing too. I've gotten two tats and a half a sleeve at City of Ink. And my cool went from 2.5 to Fifty-Lehem Thousand. Cool, right? Check 'em out. Tell em Journey Brave sent ya.

My experience was really great! I had an old tattoo that needed covering up. Originally I was going to go somewhere else but was told I had to get something βdarkβ to cover the tattoo.
Of course that didnβt sit well with me. After asking around I found out about City of Ink. After a consultation I was pleased to learn that I could get a cover tattoo with vivid colors. Tuki was my artist and he did wonderful work. He went over and beyond what I expected. Everyone was very friendly and courteous. I highly recommend this business!

So glad to have found this tattoo shop and to have met Kandace. I chose her to create my work of art and she made my very dreams come true. Not only is she a lovely person but her work is amazing. Honestly, everyone in that shop is chill and down to earth. I will continue to come back thanks to reasonable pricing, great work, and great customer service. Thanks again, Kandace!!!
