My husband and I chose to go to Skinwerks for our nasal piercing (him) and septum piercing (me) because of the great reviews. MJ was amazing! She made sure we were comfortable, she changed her gloves as needed, and gave us thorough aftercare instructions along with her business card which also has the instructions on the back of it. I will definitely go back for any other piercings we decide to get. And they sell Girl Scout cookies. 😏

Joseph is amazing. He drew up a design for me based off my description. He was really easy to work with and made sure I was satisfied with the final design and placement before inking.

Skinwerks is a great shop, it's very clean, and they limit people due to Covid. I got my second daith piercing ( migraines ) the young lady who did it was sweet and informative, daith piercings are painful, but she got me through it.

I inquired to make an appointment for my almost 17yr old daughter to get a nose piercing. Communicated with someone and explained to them she had an out of state permit and I was told that would suffice. They stated we only needed her permit and a cash payment. Upon arrival, completing the paperwork and producing our IDs we were told they could not move forward bc we have different last names and addresses. The girl said I needed something showing our same mailing address. After trying to produce bank statements and tax documents we were told no. The girl questioned my being the parent of my child all bc we don't have the same last name. I understand establishments have rules they need to follow however, they need to communicate those rules completely. If we were told this prior to driving 30 minutes to our appointment we would have certainly been prepared. I have never once been treated like a criminal for having a different last name than the child I've raised alone for almost 17 years. not to mention their ignoring me when I tried to reach out and express my frustration. so unprofessional!
