Everyone here was amazing. Jeff took my scribble of a stick figure I've been doodling for 40 years and made very few changes but just enough to make him look adorable. Another artist there worked with my husband to give him a tattoo to surprise me with, even though he was trying to prep for his next appointment. All in all a great experience!

I really enjoy the experience of getting tattooed at Black Orchid. I'm sure that there are other comparable tattoo studios around the city, but this one is the place to go in Savannah. The overall atmosphere is as a tattoo studio that one expects it to be. It's not my first time going there either. Although the staff is always busy, they manage to be friendly, speak to me, and smile. Mags Beam is a talented artist and she's my tattooist. I go to her for all my tattoo consultations and new ink. She listens to what I want and always delivers what I want my tattoos to look like. I definitely plan to go back again whenever I want some new ink done by Mags in the future. I've attached some photos of just some of her pieces of work.

My partner and I were walk in’s and fortunately Jeff was available to do our tattoos. He had a wall of really dope artwork for us to pick from. He got right to work. We had an awesome time with him and are super stoked about our new pieces. Not to mention it was my partner’s first tattoo. Jeff was awesome and so was the shop, with other talented artists we got to watch in the meantime. We really enjoyed our visit and definitely will be back

Was a bad experience upon walking. Girl at the desk had a bad attitude with me & others I had seen coming through. She then took it upon herself to complain to me about customers while I myself was a customer. After waiting 1.5 hours to begin my tattoo, the artist came out with a really awful mock up of the tattoo I wanted. Me being very shy & non confrontational ok’d the tattoo. 5 minutes later he returns & says he must leave. What a waste of a rare day off! Both the artist & front desk girl proceeded to what I felt was pressure me into scheduling another appointment. Once again, me being shy (which this was a great learning experience) agreed to the appointment & paid the $100 deposit. It was my understanding that this deposit was refundable upon cancellation 24 hours in advance. This is what I was told when making the deposit & even when cancelling. When I called to check on the refund, I was told they have only ever done 1 refund & that was not going to be for me. Hours of time wasted & $100 gone. I truly hope they use the money for something good

If you recognize anything as a red flag, look through these unprofessional responses to less than favorable reviews. Every piece of feedback gets a clap back full of excuses. Anyway - I got a tattoo here many years ago and the artist didn’t give me what I asked for, but instead what looks like a clip art knock off. When I look at it now I think about getting it covered up because it’s not what I asked for (i brought in a design - a minimalist face with the eye covered by a rose) just lines, no 3D or detailing. The artist had an attitude when I expressed that the design wasn’t what I’d brought in and I had already paid my deposit so I went through with it. In retrospect I should’ve just walked away so that’s on me.

I always have a great experience at Black Orchid. The receptionist is very helpful and the two artists I’ve worked with, Mags and Jose, are very friendly and fun. Mags is designing a tattoo for me for Nov, and Jose has already tattooed me. He did a fantastic job! I am really looking forward to getting more ink done by them! Very positive experience.
