Everything about Red Ocean Tattoo deserves 5 stars. From the artist’s professionalism, their knowledge about any question you may have to the environment in the shop very clean. I’ve had the pleasure of getting tatted by Lilly she did a piece on my arm and were also working on a huge chest piece in which she is killing it. Her like work is insane and just over all a great artist. I also started a piece with Ben The owner of the shop and the wait is Definitely worth it. Doing a thigh piece with him and just like Lilly he’s exceeding my expectations.

So if you have the time and want great work with great quality with artist that care about what they do and their reputation I suggest you just go by Red Ocean and you won’t be disappointed.

By far the best experience getting a tattoo. Ben was amazing. Super friendly, listened to what I wanted and did exactly. Left it open enough to tie into the rest of my sleeve but not so open that it looks off. He's nice, funny, professional and an amazing artist. For the work he does he is very fairly priced. Just walked out of the shop and already wanting to move to the next segment!

Lily did a wonderful job last night on my very FIRST tattoo. I am a former Navy Submariner and I really wanted something that would pay homage to my time in service but also be fun and feminine. Lily was very helpful in my consultation and also when I modified my design last minute. She was very patient with me while I figured out placement and was very professional and welcoming. After my tattoo was complete she explained how to care for it and sent me home with an adorable personalized little care packet (not pictured - a packet of a+d ointment). I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone looking to get their first tattoo! Thank you Lily!

Update! 2020 - Ben still doing amazing work. You won't make a mistake by visiting Red Ocean. Ben does great work. I'm very pleased with his friendly nature, and professionalism. Listens to what you want, uses that to give you something better than you originally asked for. He went the extra mile for me and I'd definitely recommend him to anyone.

My wife and I have gotten 2 pieces done here each. Spectacular tattoo shop. Extremely clean, comfortable and designed to make your experience enjoyable, for rookies or ink-heads alike. Every artist here is highly skilled and strives to help you design a piece you will be proud of forever. This is a HIGH DEMAND SHOP. No walk in appointments. This is not a shop with books or walls of "cookie cutter pick-a-tat" pieces. Everything is custom and one of a kind. Expect at least 3 visits: initial consultation and design, design review with opportunity for changes 1 week in advance, and tattoo session after that. The owner (Ben Kelly) is my favorite since he is a comic and gamer junkie; but every artist is highly skilled and renowned in Savannah. Most of them are award winning.

I am beyond pleased with the start of my forearm tattoo by Ben Kelly. I have been seeking the best artist for over a decade as this started as a cover-up tattoo, and knew immediately that Ben was that person. He takes the time to understand what you are looking for, and makes that vision a reality. He is professional, has a wonderful shop, and I look forward to working with him time and time again. If you want a killer piece that people will compliment for years to come, you have found the right place!

Antonio is so, SO amazing to be in the presence of and have work done by!! He’s a phenomenal conversationalist, has an unmatchable personality, and a genuine passion for what he does! He’s without a doubt far beyond talented! He started my Friends sleeve today, and to say that I’m in love with it would be an absolute understatement! The shop is very clean, all the artists have such great personalities, and it’s definitely the best shop around!! I cannot wait to go back to Antonio next month to try and finish my sleeve!!!!

I don’t have enough positive things to say about red ocean tattoo! The first meeting I had with Ben I couldn’t have been more impressed. Very professional with new clientele, clean atmosphere, timely appointment and fantastic customer satisfaction(not to mention an extremely talented artist with attention to detail). The other artist and staff were equally friendly. I am incredibly happy with the work I received from red ocean and can’t wait to return! 10/10 highly recommend!!

Had an awesome experience at this studio twice. First time was a small simple tattoo I got when I came in for a consult for this piece. I cannot recommend Red Ocean enough! Amazing artist, amazing artwork, and an amazing atmosphere set Red Ocean apart. Ben did an amazing job kicking off my sleeve. I gave him an idea and he surpassed every expectation I had. The artist were all extremely helpful and hospitable which made my experience that much better. This place is crawling with talent and with artist who genuinely care not only about producing quality tattoos and artwork but the customers as well.
