I went to red ocean tattoo for my 1st tattoo. I had a consultation with Bill Kieffer he was very professional and polite. This being my 1st tattoo I was not very knowledgeable he put my mind at ease and offered some suggestions for me. I had my own design in mind and we talked about how this would be applied. A couple of weeks later I showed up for my session he explained thoroughly about the pain involved, after care and what to expect over the course of my tattoo. I can't say enough about Bill and Red Ocean tattoo I will be going back when I work on my ideas for a second tattoo!

Ben has been working on a full sleeve for me for about 6 months, and his work is phenomenal. In my opinion he is one of the best tattoo artists in the Savannah area. Every time I get work done from him the experience is fantastic. Moreover, he is a great guy and very easy to work with. I highly recommend anyone looking for quality work to contact him. He responds quickly to emails and will work with you throughout the design process. His store is located in a beautiful area or Savannah and the atmosphere is amazing. 5 stars hands down quality and service. Can't wait to start working on the other arm!

After doing an exhaustive amount of research into tattoo parlors and artists, I reached out to Brandon at Red Ocean and it was the best decision ever. I'm a professional illustrator so I was nervous to put my trust in someone to do a super-detailed piece because I was terrified no one would be able to capture the vision I had in my head and that I wouldn't like the [very permanent] end result!! But Brandon's work speaks for itself so I knew I was in good hands. Brandon is so talented and his skill and attention to detail absolutely shined in the final result - my tattoo is just over a year old now and it is just as beautiful today as it was when I first got it. I get compliments on it all the time. Couldn't recommend Brandon or Red Ocean Tattoo more. I tell all my friends in Atlanta to make the drive to go see him!! THANK YOU, Brandon!! :)

When my search for the right tattoo artist began, the same name kept coming up. Ben Kelly and Red Ocean Tattoo. Red Ocean Tattoo is a fantastic shop that blends into the amazing down town Savannah area. Every time Im in the shop, the energy is awesome. Every one is extremely nice, and enthusiastic. Ben did my work. Throughout the entire process he was extremely honest, helpful and easy to work with. I emailed Ben every few weeks with new ideas I had, he responded quickly with awesome advice. He developed an amazing piece of art for me, far better than I could have ever imagined for myself. I highly recommend Red Ocean Tattoo! They are the only tattoo shop you should visit in Savannah!

Went in on a Tuesday for a walk in consult for a cover up of an old tattoo. Lily had a cancellation the following day, and was able to work with my ideas to design something before my afternoon appointment on Wednesday. She’s a sweet, very talented artist with open communication while figuring out the design. I would recommend Lily at Red Ocean. I was so tempted to schedule another before I left just seeing some of her original designs!
As far as the shop itself- everyone I interacted with was welcoming. All of their work looks amazing. The only negative I could say is that the bathrooms could have been cleaner.

What they say is true, you get what you pay for! Ben Kelly exceeded expectations with my thigh piece. Line work, shading, attention to detail, and the raw artistic ability have meshed perfectly together to make an absolute beautiful homage to a late family member. I am absolutely in love with it and will happily recommend him to anyone wanting beautiful quality tattoos.
As for the shop itself, Ben and everyone else I met in the shop were polite and friendly providing just a genuinely comfortable atmosphere. It was obvious that the shop morale was laid back and a bunch of good people who love what they do.
