This is quite late as I got my first ever tattoo from Red Ocean back in January, but a recent more poor experience with a tattoo artist elsewhere made me really appreciate how amazing the people at Red Ocean are. Lilly was fantastic, consult hours were quick and easy, and all the other artists were very nice during the brief interactions I had with them. My tattoo is entirely line art, and all of the lines are super clean. I could not be happier with my artist or the service and I look forward to getting more tattoos from here in the future.

Whether it's your first tattoo (like me) or just your next one red ocean is the perfect place to get it. The staff is both professional and very friendly. They love what they do which is definitely one of the reason they do such great work. I got a thigh piece by Ben Kelly after working with him on a design. He had many great suggestions that after a great session gave me a tattoo I can't stop looking at and showing everyone! I'm extremely happy and excited to have this piece for the rest of my life and can't recommend his shop enough!

Absolutely phenomenal work, beautiful and clean shop, highly skilled artists, and all around an amazing experience. After one session of work on a sleeve by Ben I am wicked excited to go back and continue work. Environment at Red Ocean is absolutely great, if you are in the market for a new piece of ART I highly encourage everyone to check out these artists! I would post a picture of my work so far but i forgot to take a picture prior to the wrap going on. I will post a full picture when it is all complete.

Did my research for the style and artist I wanted and came across Ben’s art. Went in to meet with him and he took my ideas on some topics we both had a passion for and crafted a real work of art! I still have two sessions to finish my sleeve but then I’ll post pictures. The realism is uncanny and the professionalism and quality work at Red Ocean are unmatched by anyone else in Savannah. Would recommend to anyone looking to get something done you’ll be proud of.

After a bit of research and checking out a few different tattoo shops, I came across Ben Kelly at Red Ocean Tattoo. From what I could find, he is the only artist that specializes in realism in the general area. Walking into his shop, the energy is really clean and positive and the staff is all so friendly and down to earth. When I showed Ben the image that I wanted for my tattoo, his face lit up so I felt confident in moving forward with booking my session with him. He is booked out quite far, which I hope doesn't turn anyone off, because that just proves how good he is at what he does.
During the process, he is very friendly and talkative and even set the mood by putting on The Labyrinth for me to watch since that is what inspired my piece. He and everyone else there made me feel very comfortable. He works very quickly and does so much with his time; I am extremely impressed that he got it done in under 5hrs. Oh, and did I mention it's a cover-up?? The final product is absolutely amazing and something I will cherish for the rest of my life. My overall experience was wonderful and I already have ideas for my next piece. I can't wait to go back! Thanks Ben!!!

My artist is Ben Kelly and couldn't be any more pleased with the tattoo. He worked with my ideas from the beginning and developed a tattoo that far exceeded my expectations. You can tell they care about the tattoos they are doing and your well being; ensuring not to push too far. Every artist there are professional and treated me with respect. I would definitely recommend Red Ocean to anyone looking for a tattoo. You will not be disappointed.

Amazing artists at an awesome shop. We drove from Mobile AL to Savannah so that Ben could throw down a bad ass Wheel of Time sleeve on my arm. We had to stay in touch through email and have video chat consultations leading up to the appointment due to the long distance. Ben was very professional and friendly which made the entire experience painless. I didn't have much time for this trip so we had to do two 6 hour sessions in as many days. Ben has a great work ethic and focus. He is an extremely talented artist and I couldn't be happier with his work. I will be back soon to continue work on the sleeve and would recommend Ben and the other artists in his shop to anyone looking for quality work.
