I waited 6 months and drove 3 1/2 hours to have Ben Kelly of Red Ocean Tattoo do my first tattoo...and it was worth twice the wait, twice the drive and every single penny. Professional, artistic, and he put me at ease throughout the entire process. And the work? Perfect! I can't wait for round two!

Ben is the fourth and final artist I will ever go to. Today he started my American themed sleeve and completely blew me and my wife away. I had high expectations after seeing his portfolio, but today exceeded those ten fold. I say he is my last artist because I will never go to another artist to get tattooed again. I would drive quite a distance for him. He is a military vet and great at making you feel comfortable while in the shop. The shop is in ship shape and not your normal tattoo place. It is classy and clean. If you want a guy who you want to do amazing amazing amazing work and make you feel at home, Ben is your guy.

This being my first tattoo, I researched like crazy. Online, on the phone & in person. I finally decided to go with Ben at Red Ocean Tattoo. Not only on a basis of his art, but his personality, knowledge & honesty. From the initial consultation, to art check, during the application, wrapping up & after care. I could not imagine a better experience or more personable education. Everyone was very friendly & communicative. Ben kept me talking through the entire tattooing process & really helped take my mind off of the 3 hours under the needle. The finished tattoo was absolutely amazing, I would give them 10 stars if I could. Don't see myself going anywhere else & I highly recommend. Go in between 12:00 & 13:00, Tuesday - Sunday for your initial consultation. You will not be sorry.

Fist time getting tattooed in Savannah and after lots of research lol I decide on Red Ocean just by looking at the image results and reviews without hesitation I for she wanted a tattoo done here. As for my artist she’s was super professional, very informative and most of all fun and down to earth! She did both of my tattoos and they look incredible, I’ve already gotten so many compliments so I will definitely be going back for more. If anyone is looking for super professional work done, in a chill and fun environment Red Ocean is the place and please check out my artist LILY XIANG!!! She is 1000% great at what she’s does and is so chill...can’t wait to go back for more!!!

I had a blast getting my tattoo done yesterday! the whole staff is so friendly! I gave Ben Kelly an idea of what I wanted ( A sea horse/T-Rex hybrid) and without questioning my sanity drew it up and went to work. It came out better than I could of hoped. We had a great chat durning the process. I have several tattoos but this was by far the best overall experience I have had. 10 stars! Thanks red ocean! I'll be seeing you real damn soon.
