Messenger Tattoo Studio

After seeing Yogi's tattoo from his time at cornerstone I was excited about the chance to hopefully have his work on me, he moved further away and it wasn't in my cards to venture that far away. I saw on Instagram that he was back in his own shop just down the road from me so I checked it out and got in to do some random toy machine pieces with my wife. They were done by two of the artists who work there who's names unfortunately escape me. The vibe was great and lighthearted and the tattooists who worked with us were phenomenal! I will definitely be returning for more work soon!

This is one of the best shops and tattoo experiences I’ve ever had. Yogi is one of the greatest in the business and he consistently turns out amazing art work. He runs a very clean, safe, and welcoming space that I can’t wait to visit again. My visit was during Covid and the shops practices helped assure me that everyone’s safety was most important which I appreciated as a customer.

Nick did me and my boyfriend's tattoos and he did such a good job and was super kind and considerate (it was our first tattoos). The whole studio was so clean. We definitely plan on going back to get more!

Comfortable waiting area, They made it very pleasant for my wife and I. Both of us were tattoo novices. They were very helpful. Nick did a great job on me and David was great on my wife...that sounds wierd but I'm sure it reads fine.
If your in the area and need tattoo can't suggest them enough!

I adore this studio. I don't live nearby, but it was worth traveling there from across the country. It is a very beautiful and clean studio, and it doesn't feel overly dark like others. The people there are incredibly friendly and welcoming. There is a lot of space in the waiting area for social distancing and to feel comfortable while you wait.

I had an appointment with Yogi for a full day session, and check in was fast and easy.

All the artists are very personable, and I was happy to show off my other tattoo when they asked to see it. Haha. Sometimes they came over to check out the progress on mine, and they'd openly chat, which is also a good distraction from being worked on.

The studio part where the artists work is an open room and artists are on both sides. This means you don't have people walking by you all the time like more linear studios. I was offered a partition for privacy, and I really appreciated the offer even though I was fine without.

Yogi is... so great. He's friendly, open, a great conversationalist (especially when the appointment ends up being about 11 hours!), and genuinely nice. The process was like any tattoo, but he's talented, and until the very end, there wasn't any part of it I couldn't handle (but that was only from tenderness and tiredness). He matched the placement and size of the design to match my other thigh, and the symmetry is perfect. He adjusted the design to also pull away from the "sticker" look, which I appreciated, and he adjusted the colors to have them stand out from how dark the original was.

I can't speak for the other artists' work, but Yogi is definitely among my favorites, and the studio makes for a very comfortable and memorable experience.

Everyone was very professional and friendly. They made my wife and I feel at home. The shop is spacious and super clean. Shout out NICK! He hooked us up. Very cool ,respectable and talented guy! Will definitely be back to see my guy.. All the way from Beaumont, Tx!

Im not the guy to ever leave reviews but, the shop and service I received I just had to share my experience.
I have 4 tattoos and this is absolutely the best shop/experience I have ever had or could ever ask for. It completely blew me away. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and made feel very welcome like they were happy to see me and I was part of their group/family. The shop itself is absolutely beautiful and one of the cleanest I’ve ever seen. It really does look like something out of a TV show. You can tell all these guys love what they do and the people they work with, you can feel that as a client and It rubs off on all the people in the room. I instantly felt like I was wanted and they were happy to have me at their shop.
I went in to get a Portrait of my daughter, so this was a big deal for me. My artist (yogi) made me feel calm which helped me collect my emotion/ nerves. He was very welcoming. Once he got started it was like having a conversation with an old friend, which made the process and the next 12 hours not seem so bad haha. My tattoo turned out amazing. It’s a beautiful piece of art and I’ve been showing it off with pride since I got it. Most importantly my daughter loves it and that means the world to me.
My whole trip/experience is one that I’ll never forget. I’m confident I will never get tattooed anywhere but here. If you’ve read this review all the way through do yourself a favor and make an appointment. It will be the best decision you’ve made when it comes to tattoos. This place is absolutely top notch!!

Nick is awesome! I traveled over an hour for this last tattoo. This is my fourth piece from him and I refuse to go anywhere else. The shop is so clean and welcoming. He is open to your ideas and is able to bring them to life with his artistic abilities. I couldn’t recommend anyone else!

Loved it as soon as I walked in! Not only is the studio beautiful, it is very clean. I was greeted by the owner as soon as I walked in and felt like I had known him for years. The artist (Navid) was so nice and took his time. He never made me feel rushed and I could tell he took his work very seriously. I would highly recommend them and I will be back!

John Barrett is the best young tattooer in the game and I am so happy he’s got his own shop now. He’s always punctual, respectful, clean and above all, supremely talented. I wouldn’t have anyone else tattoo me. 10/10 stars for sure! The work speaks for itself.
