Had Mikey tattoo my leg from below the knee to just above my ankle, drawn by hand and the results were incredible. The design, line work, and bold black design couldn’t have been done better. Highly recommend!

I just got a custom tattoo from Mikey at Monarch Tattoo yesterday, and I cannot recommend this business highly enough! It was easy to book through the website, Mikey was extremely helpful and patient with my rapidly evolving tattoo ideas in the two weeks or so leading up to my appointment, and the end product is truly a work of art.
My tattoo took about four hours, including a consultation at the beginning. Mikey made sure I was comfortable the whole time and it was clear he was committed to making the tattoo excellent. I also really enjoyed talking to him throughout the tattooing process. In COVID times, I felt completely comfortable spending the afternoon in the shop--tattooing is by appointment only, everyone was masked up, and all surfaces were clean and sanitary. As a bonus, there was great music playing throughout my time there.
Monarch's work is really special. If you want a professional, high-quality, unique piece of art on your body, Monarch is the place to go!

I had tattoo done by Mike and am so beyond happy with the results. I have since moved to Tennessee and I have people tell me almost every time I am in public how amazing the work is with the detail and lines being so clean! The shop itself is very clean and professional. I had a very small window of time and he was able to work with me and draw up a tattoo and do it the same day. I totally recommend them! His wife and the other 2 guys working in the shop also do amazing, unmatched work that they take great pride In!

Mikey was creative with the tattoos my husband and I wanted! We sent reference pictures of the idea for the tattoos and he was able to individualize it for us perfectly! Super friendly guy with a nice studio! He was very clean and took covid regulations seriously. Will for sure go to him again for more tattoos when we come back!

Highly recommended studio! While vacationing in Hawaii over the last few years, I have been looking for the right tattoo studio and artists for Polynesian work.This search included the big island, Kauai and Oahu. I found the right match at Monarch Tattoo. The studio is located in a beautiful north shore setting and has a great vibe. They were very accommodating to fit me in with a couple days notice, and Laura was the artist I worked with. She was a rock star and quickly knocked out a unique, creative and solid tattoo which blew away my expectations! I was lucky enough to see a tattoo Mike had just finished at the same time I was done and it was also really amazing. Overall, it was a great experience. I walked out the door with a huge smile on my face and a piece I absolutely love.

Aaron is an amazing artist! My son and I came in for a consultation and were able to get in quickly for our sessions. Very clean and professional, with the Aloha vibe all around the shop. Aaron was so patient in creating just the right design for me to fit in a very challenging spot and was very gentle and kind to my son (this was his first tattoo). This was such an amazing tattoo experience, Mike did such a great job. He drew up and completed the tat all in the same day. I was even back and forth about whether I’d do it the day of or the next day and he worked patiently with me.
Great conversation, VERY clean and neat, great price, very professional; everything was a plus.
The first picture is just the outline and the second is the final tat, I didn’t even know it could look this good. The last one is the reference photo i brought in to give you an idea of his artistic ability.
Also the scenery is beautiful, the drive up will convince you alone.
