"We are a family-owned and operated studio and we specialize in all aspects of tattooing and piercing. We have thousands of designs available for you to look through as well as many talented artists who can create something special and custom to fit your desires. We have both male and female artists as well as a wonderful staff of lovely sales girls to help you feel comfortable and answer any questions you might have. We take walk-ins when an open chair is available as well as work by appointment only for people needing specific times and dates. Please come down and have a look around. No no tattoos for us. The shop, Hale Nui Waikiki was where we booked our appointments Sunday afternoon for today, Thursday, at 1630 with Bluez. We get there today at 1615 and we’re told the artist Bluez isn’t working this week or next. Now bear in mind I had given the girl at registration my cell phone number, good customer service would indicate we should’ve been called and informed of this, but no. So the guy that was brought in to cover for the artist, from Maui, is working on two small sea turtles on a girls rib cage when we got there at 1615 and he took until 1730. At this point I’m a little steamed but ok. Then the girl decides she wants a third sea turtle and rather than turning her over to another artist so he could take care of us, he agrees to do her third sea turtle. At this point I informed the receptionist girl that we had 1630 appointments and it is now 1730. She went to speak to the artist who said “well I have to finish this first”. That’s when we left. So he probably made about $100 on those small tiny little sea turtles, when he could have gotten probably $800 for the two tattoos that my husband and I wanted. They were the same tattoo that Our son got when he was here with his youngest daughter on her Make-A-Wish trip, but we wanted the artist originally booked with who wasn’t here so I’m taking it all as a sign that we just didn’t need to do this tonight. It is now 1853 and we have heard nothing from the shop, I told the reception girl to keep the $80 cash deposit we left on Thursday, but one would think we would at least get a text or call of apology. I would not recommend this shop. Customer service seems to be nonexistent here.

My wife and I went here on our last day of vacation. We wanted palm trees and I wanted to incorporate a rainbow in mine. The ladies were super friendly and tattoos were quick, however when I was looking at pictures I realized rainbow was done upside down. Colors in wrong order.

Got this tattoo done here, it was a great experience and the tattoo artist and the staff were friendly and able to work around a budget if needed. This is a highly recommended place to stop to get any tattoo done.

Bluez tattooed three turtles on the left side of my chest representing my three kids. It was done on my last visit to Oahu before COVID and I just want to say that I still love it as much as the day that he showed me the design. He worked with me over a couple days to design and then get the time to do the work. If I get the chance to go back I already know what I want him to do next. I've been to a few different shops now and I really enjoy the small Hale Nui environment. I enjoy the staff and looking forward to getting more work done there in the future.

Tattoo artist went wayy too deep causing my tattoo to have a blow out and it refuses to heal. i have multiple tattoos and this one was awful. she went extremely deep and left so many bald spots. the tattoo ink is bleeding under my skin
