Lisa was so awesome and took her time with me drawing and redrawing to make sure I loved it! Such a cool spot as well, you can enjoy a tasty coffee while you get tatted. Great experience overall!

Josh fit all 3 into his schedule. He's an incredible artist. He's also surgically clean about his process.

Lisa did my first tattoo today! I have been wanting to get one for over a decade now, but couldn’t find the right design and went back and forth on it forever. I felt grateful to have such an artistic professional visualize what I wanted and have it come to life. The whole experience was relaxing and fun - Lisa is awesome and I highly recommend her.

I hesitate to even write this review, but I feel this is necessary for anyone else that wants to book an appointment with Carly, one of the artists that work for The Collective. Carly had very poor communication throughout my time trying to work with her. Throughout the entire process, I wasn’t given any details about her rate, how long she thought this piece would take, etc, unless I asked about it. I asked her to sketch a piece for me, in which she did an excellent job. I then requested a few simple edits to her sketch; VERY simple removals of small items on the sketch. Her response was already a huge red flag in that she wanted to try out her original sketch on me first, with a lot of hesitancy to make my very simple changes. I had to push further, saying that I respect her sentiment with the original design, but at the end of the day, I didn’t want to waste either one of ours’ times because I already knew I loved her piece except for those minor edits. After getting other people’s opinions, none of them had such a poor experience with the communication, or lack thereof, with their artists. My husband and I decided to hold off on the appointment for the time being, trying to decide if this artist was right for us. Carly denied to respond to our request to rebook with a different date. Rather, she blocked me on IG, then followed up by making a post on her IG story with the changes that I had requested, and stating “available design..DM me to claim”. The sheer lack of professionalism from this artist cannot be understated.

My sister visited from the mainland and we got matching palm trees on our inner arm. After checking out a few other shops in the area, we went to The Collective late one evening and Josh helped us out. He was incredibly professional, fun, and never added any pressure. After seeing the shop (clean, thoughtfully decorated, welcoming) and talking to Josh, we scheduled an appointment for a few days later. The experience was top notch. Price was outstanding for the incredible work. We both left with great tattoos and wanting to just hang out in the shop all day listening to good music and eating good food. Can’t wait to go back and have Josh finish up a sleeve for me!

Set up an appointment and was in the next day. Alex is an amazing artist! The detail and lines are so perfect it puts my old tattoos to shame. This is the only place I will go while I am here on island. A must go spot! And the coffee is good too!

I highly recommend coming here to get your next tattoo. While on vacation my family got matching tattoos from Lisa and I can’t say enough good things about her and the shop. From the first email to getting the tattoo done, I have been treated with kindness and respect (even with all my questions). Lisa listened to our ideas and was able to make each one the same but yet unique. Thank you for making this experience a memorable one for myself and my family.

My daughter and I both had Josh do tattoos for us at the end of our Hawaii vacation. His work was incredible. He will work with you on your ideas and come up with something very creative and unique. Prices were very reasonable. Great experience, highly recommend!

RJ tattooed a skeleton on my leg yesterday and it is more than amazing. His patience was super appreciated as we spent a long time reworking the drawing until it was perfect. He is very excited about his work and this attitude was infectious, I am working with him to create some more pieces. The Collective is welcoming and comfortable and I highly recommend anyone spend an afternoon there whether getting a tattoo or enjoying a coffee.
