808 Tattoo LLC

Prior to my appointment, I researched Megan Jones’s at 808 Tattoo, and became content and confident chosing her as my artist. Unexpectedly 2 hrs. before my appointment , she texted to advise me that she was ill, switching to Nick. Subsequently I responded trying to attain a link on his work to make sure I would be moving forward. To no avail, i waited for conformation of her absence. She still hasn’t responded. On my own I found examples of his excellent work easimg my reluctance to the abrupt switch.
Lacking “Aloha”, Nicks personality that day wasn’t the most pleasant. He seemed annoyed and unfriendly. Virtues not prudent to be displaed especially in a customer service-based environment. Especially when your about to get a permanent work dome.
Regardless, I put my disdain towards his disposition aside and forged ahead. I’m glad I did because the outcome was beyond excellent. I love my tattoo, and no matter what I feel about Nick, his work is insurmountable.
If you want a great tattoo, with limited “Aloha” go see Nick.
Next time I visit the island I’ll be sure to specifically ask for Nick, this way I can get an excellent tattoo and maybe catch him on a better day.

Relaxed environment, wonderful, friendly staff, worth every penny.

Jordan did a phenomenal job on my first tattoo. I now have a tribal band around my forearm and Jordan made me feel relaxed and confident that I was going to receive great work. He is very knowledgeable about Polynesian cultures and tattooing and answered all of my questions professionally. I get so many compliments on my tattoo and I’m so happy my kumus and tumu love it, too! I highly, highly recommend and I’m sure I’ll be back for more. Mahalo nui, 808 Tattoos!

Very friendly female receptionist. They were fully booked but still made time to slip me in. Billy was a very knowledgeable artist & i thought he did a great job. My wife & i definitely will return to this shop for more tattoos in the future.

Got a great Tatoo during during my 1st trip to the Islands by a very talented and professional artist. Planning another trip this year and will definitely be reserving a time slot for another great tatoo.

Jordan is an amazing artist with so much knowledge! He was also very generous with his time and especially considerate of ours. Book far in advance and don't show up with something stupid!

Ok I don’t do reviews but I have to do one for Justin Hendrick! The first two pics are right after he completed the tattoo about 2 hours the third picture is today! I went to Hawai’i with my family my big brother passed away last October 14 2018. Justin is the BEST! I’ve been looking to get this portrait done and Justin was able to literally put the picture on my arm so my big brother is with me forever! If live or just visiting Hawai’i and need a tattoo Man go to 808 Tattoo holler at Justin! Can’t wait to have him to do more! 100% satisfied! Thank you again Justin!

Heard good things about them. See the stickers everywhere. Pass it all the time. But cousins was visiting and she wanted some plumeria. We was asked to hold on maybe 30-40 mins til the next artist was done. 1hr later we're told just a few more mins. I noticed 2 artists just hanging out laughing in back. Another customer walks in an is taken right away. Almost 2hrs of being told "only a few more minutes" we went to leave. At this point the shop monkey decided he was ready. Not worth the hassle. Ever.

Came in for a sleeve, talked to justin about it. He said email him some photos and ideas. I emailed THAT day. Three and a half weeks later, zero progress and two emails at best. Extremely disappointed in the professionalism and ability to communicate with your customers. If you're busy tell me. Dont just blow me off like I'm nobody. I will spread the word to never come here and avoid this place at all costs. I would put zero stars if I could. Sad sad business practice.

My wife and I recently visited 808 tattoo shop in June 2015, while we were on holiday from the UK, and we would just like to say how much we appreciated Jordan's expertise and good work. We felt very comfortable thoughout the whole process, as this was our first time for getting a tattoo.

Couldn't ask for a better tattoo artist.
