Zen Tattoo Art Gallery

All my of tattoos and my husband’s tattoos are strictly from Zen Tattoo, more specifically from Melissa. We’ve been coming to Melissa at Zen Tattoo for years! She’s done everything from realistic animal portraits, sacred geometry/mandalas, lettering, and clean line work for us. She’s a great artist with compassion for an individual’s pain level/tolerance.

All of the artists in the shop are very friendly and they are masters at their own individual art style. We’ve always had great experiences in the shop from tattoos to body piercings. I highly recommend this tattoo shop, it’s definitely worth the long term investment.

My husband and I went on a vacation to Maui. We were planning on getting the islands tattooed while we were there. We looked up the places around us and came across a cool looking website for Zen Tattoo. We were able to make an appointment 2 days before we went in. Jonathan was expecting a simple request, but he went all out for me and my ask of a watercolor piece with the Hawaiian Islands with more than just that. He chose an amazing array of colors, and exceeded my expectations! Thank you so much for the beautiful work, the conversation, and the chill atmosphere. Visit Zen! We also purchased some cool shirts and stickers.

My sister and I went to Zen Tattoo on the last day of our vacation to Maui and were very happy with our experience. I initially wanted to get inked by Melissa but she wasn't going to be able to get to me until much later and my sister wanted Johnathan who was also busy. Masao who is also the owner agreed to fit us both in and did a great job! This was only my second tat as I'm very picky about what I get and Masao was patient, understanding, and easy to work with. I typically don't trust easily but he was easy to talk to and made me feel comfortable. I let him freehand my tat and it came out beautifully. I recommend anyone to go to Zen. The atmosphere is great and all the artists are very nice and do good work.

I got a tattoo from Masao on 12/26/22. He is an incredible tattoo artist. He worked around my travel schedule and he was very efficient and reasonably priced. He tied my new tattoo into an existing one with perfection. I would highly recommend and would definitely go back.

Loved MA$AO's work! Very friendly. Got us in next day. Priced at what you would expect. True artist. Piked up some of his merchandise and I'll be bringing some Van's back next time I'm in Maui for him to customize.

Melissa was amazing! She fit me in last minute and gave me the cutest hibiscus tattoo! She has great energy & does fantastic work :)

I’ve been waiting 10 years to cover my old tattoo because it was no longer noticeable. I chose Masao because he friends and reviews say he has plenty of experience with cover ups and tribal art. He is very communicative. He’s so cool! I gave him different designs that I liked and he did so well incorporating all- it turned out better than I thought! I picked a dragon because I was born the year of the dragon. I love my tattoo. Mahalo Masao!

First impressions- the guys when I first walked in weren’t super nice but they had an opening for me Friday for a tattoo and I took it.

Ryan was my artist and was not one of the guys there when I came the first day. Ryan was excellent. Very light hand. Good conversation. Amazing drawing and concept he designed for me. So so so happy with it! If I ever come back to Maui I will be getting another one from him

I had the best experience at this shop. They were honest and super friendly. I came in not really knowing what i wanted and fell in love with a drawing that Melissa had done. From there i pretty much just told her a couple details i would like and she came up with something that was so much better than i couldve imagined. Cant wait to go back and get more work done by her.

My Husband wanted a heart with wings and roses for our 12th Anniversary. Kevin created the most beautiful tattoo. A true Professional Artist. We highly recommend and will be back and send All our family and friends!
