"Sweet Trade Tattoo on Maui was opened in the spirit of family, aloha, and a deep respect for our roots in traditional tattooing. We are dedicated to providing a pleasant atmosphere, the highest standards in sterilization, and beautiful, lasting, original tattoos. Adam Considine has been an artist since 1996, and came to Sweet Trade Tattoo in September of 2012. Adam is a master oil painter who works with American & Japanese Traditional & Polynesian tattoo. Adam and his wife, Athena, came to Maui for their honeymoon and decided quickly that this was the place for them. Adam & Athena love the Maui lifestyle of surfing, snorkeling, hiking with their dogs, or just enjoying a family day at the beach."

They were very understanding when we had to rearrange our appointment as well.

I walked in and set an appointment with Adam and came back today and got my tattoo of the flower he recommended that he’s done so many of and it turned out so much better than the one I was thinking of! It was also my first tattoo and he made me feel so much better about it and it was a nice and easy process!! Definitely a 10/10 and would come back next time I visit Maui!!

I went to Adam today for a destination tattoo. I’m here with my husband from Utah for our honeymoon. I called Adam and he gave me a time to come in, and he was ready for me half an hour before our set time which was perfect! I showed Adam a very brief idea of what I was looking for and let him do his thing from there. What Adam ended up tattooing was worlds better than what I could have imagined. He took my idea and put his twist on it, making it detailed and more beautiful that what I showed him!
Adam was professional, while also being “normal” by having conversations with my husband and I, giving us food recommendations, and giving us the best marriage advice we have ever received. When I come back to Maui, I will absolutely be visiting Adam again. He is incredible at what he does and he his work proves it!

What an awesome place with awesome people. We had stopped in mid vacation to schedule and Adam had explained to us that it would be best to wait until the end of our vacation due to the possibility of infection in Hawaii (the island is covered in bacteria) the fact he looked out for us and wanted to make sure we stayed healthy and the tattoo quality would stay top notch! A shop that looks after clients and does awesome work, I highly recommend using sweet trade! They take time getting to know you listening to you and designing a piece that fits you! Quality of their work and hospitality is unbeatable!

My husband and I were in Maui on our honeymoon, and decided it was time to get our matching tattoos. We called Adam about making an appointment, and he told us we needed to do a consultation, and everything we needed to do to secure an appointment. Fast forward to our appointment day. We were his first clients and he was working alone, but he made us feel very welcome, and was super personable, and professional, even when he had to be take breaks from doing our tattoos to answer the phone, or talk to people who walked in. He's so friendly, and passionate about his work. We will be back to see you in a year!
