"Sweet Trade Tattoo on Maui was opened in the spirit of family, aloha, and a deep respect for our roots in traditional tattooing. We are dedicated to providing a pleasant atmosphere, the highest standards in sterilization, and beautiful, lasting, original tattoos. Adam Considine has been an artist since 1996, and came to Sweet Trade Tattoo in September of 2012. Adam is a master oil painter who works with American & Japanese Traditional & Polynesian tattoo. Adam and his wife, Athena, came to Maui for their honeymoon and decided quickly that this was the place for them. Adam & Athena love the Maui lifestyle of surfing, snorkeling, hiking with their dogs, or just enjoying a family day at the beach."

My husband and I were vacationing on Maui and decided to each get a tattoo to honor the passing of our 17 year old dog last year. We reached out to Sweet Trade via their website messaging tool and received a response within a few hours with details on how to proceed. We met with Siobhan who listened to what we wanted and assured us that she would have art work ready for us on the day of our appointment. When we arrived for the appointment Siobhan helped us tweak the artwork to exactly what we wanted and she was very patient and sensitive to the reasoning behind our images. We each got an image of one of our dog's favorite toys and we could be happier with the finished result. Thank you Siobhan and Sweet Trade!

First and foremost the service was amazing the moment we walked in to set up an appointment. Both were very friendly and answered all our questions. Day of appointment everything went so seem less. Friendly conversation and interest about us a people and not just another person they are tattoo. Made you feel like a family member it seemed like. The shop itself was very clean and very comfortable, atmosphere felt very laid back and relaxed. Next time Iβm there I would definitely get another tattoo here and also recommend if anyone had ever asked.

Adam was so amazing. They are a small shop, so if you are thinking at all of getting a tattoo while you are staying in Maui, get in touch with them beforehand. He got us in on our last day so we could fully enjoy our time on the island, met with us to personalize our tattoos, and gave both of us the greatest thing to take back from our trip. He is extremely experienced, a great conversationalist, and an all around awesome human. Thank you, Adam!

Fantastic experience with Adam. Had a great consultation and then the work was done as requested and in a friendly and informative way. Really nice shop and environment the team have created and Iβll be there again next time I hit Maui (hopefully not too long!). Thereβs a lot of tattoo choices on the west side but boy did I get this this right.

Totally awesome shop to have stumbled upon on vacation! Everyone was super patient, friendly and just amazing. We walked in to see if we could get a last second tattoo a couple days away and they got us in with no issue. The line work is so clean, so detailed and I don't think I've ever had such a quick tattoo. Literally pure skill, I could feel the smooth and steadiness during the tattoo, unparalleled. Sweet Trade Tattoo gave us the best souvenir to top off our visit to Maui. We were able to set an appointment for the next day which happened to be our last morning in town. We were able to get a custom tattoo for myself and my young adult son in about an hour each. Our tattoos look great and we will definitely be returning customers next time we are in town.

My daughter wanted to get matching tattoos with me while on vacation. She checked around and found Sweet Trade. We went in for an initial consultation on a Saturday with our design idea. my daughterβs tattoo was done on Monday by Siobhan. Adam did mine a few days later. The tattoos were fairly basic but they had a lot of meaning to us. We both were a little nervous but were put at ease during the process. We are both happy with the process and results.
