"Sweet Trade Tattoo on Maui was opened in the spirit of family, aloha, and a deep respect for our roots in traditional tattooing. We are dedicated to providing a pleasant atmosphere, the highest standards in sterilization, and beautiful, lasting, original tattoos. Adam Considine has been an artist since 1996, and came to Sweet Trade Tattoo in September of 2012. Adam is a master oil painter who works with American & Japanese Traditional & Polynesian tattoo. Adam and his wife, Athena, came to Maui for their honeymoon and decided quickly that this was the place for them. Adam & Athena love the Maui lifestyle of surfing, snorkeling, hiking with their dogs, or just enjoying a family day at the beach."

Adam Was one of the most knowledgeable personal customer service tattooers I've ever been privileged to have inked me. from the get go, he was so helpful with size color placement time and Patient with my sister and I. He knows how to be direct and honest and so helpful!! one of the best artists I have ever met. Def will give a high rating and recommendation to anyone who has the time to get some ink!

Honestly some of the best most straight forward tattoo artists I’ve dealt with! The tattooing was amazing!
We spent a week in Maui, a heavy tourist destination, and they treated every single one of us that week as if we were living in Maui and going to be repeat customers throughout the year instead of just some tourists that were leaving and who knows when we would be back.
The tattoo came out great, virtually no scabbing, and the ink took super well without having to be heavy handed. 12/10 stars. Can’t wait to visit that beautiful island again and get another tattoo from them when I do! Mahalo!

Adam is prompt with inquiries online and thorough (setting up time to consult on tattoo design, colors etc and ensuring it is towards the end of your trip to make sure you get to swim). Added plus that Adam is from my hometown and so many stories.
It was perfect! Highly recommend if you are looking for a tattoo.

Siobhan was fantastic. She took a photo I provided and listened to how I wanted changes made. I booked the appointment for a couple of days later. Went in for my appointment and 3 1/2 hours later came out with a tattoo that far exceeded my expectations. Thank you Siobhan, I will be back for more.

Chauvin (I’m not sure if I spelled her name correctly, I apologize if it’s wrong!) was my artist for my 4th tattoo. She was awesome! A little quiet, but still cracked some jokes, she was very respectful, very aware of where I was getting too tender/sore and was sure to be more gentle in those areas. My tattoo only took about an hour and a half, the lines look phenomenal! She made sure I was comfortable on the table before we started, very clean and sanitized area. When I wanted my tattoo a little bigger than planned, she fixed the stencil for me no problem! Extremely happy with how it turned out, definitely planning to get another tattoo here on our next vacation. Thank you so much Adam & Sweet Trade tattoo fam!
