"Sweet Trade Tattoo on Maui was opened in the spirit of family, aloha, and a deep respect for our roots in traditional tattooing. We are dedicated to providing a pleasant atmosphere, the highest standards in sterilization, and beautiful, lasting, original tattoos. Adam Considine has been an artist since 1996, and came to Sweet Trade Tattoo in September of 2012. Adam is a master oil painter who works with American & Japanese Traditional & Polynesian tattoo. Adam and his wife, Athena, came to Maui for their honeymoon and decided quickly that this was the place for them. Adam & Athena love the Maui lifestyle of surfing, snorkeling, hiking with their dogs, or just enjoying a family day at the beach."

Adam is so great! We chatted so comfortably during my session, about so many things. I love when I have such a positive interaction with my artist because I will always remember it every time I see the tattoo. A very comfortable shop ran by an exceedingly talented artist. All staff is very friendly and accommodating. Make an appointment early especially for anything large or custom. I'll be getting plenty of work done here in the future.

Adam was amazing. We walked in thinking about a set of turtles for our family, but Adam interviewed us as a family and heard our "story", why we visited Maui, our family history, set backs and triumps and had us come back the next day to look at options. He presented a myriad of options for two completely different tattoos. He offered turtles, and then a custom one of a kind design that blew us away. Personally I was terrified as I had never had a tattoo before but he was comforting, confident, understanding, and trustworthy. I couldn't recommend him highly enough. Best Wishes Adam! ~Rita

I had at an amazing experience at Sweet Trade Tattoo!!! Shioban was a focused and at ease artist. I'm so happy with how the ink turned out, I got a drawing of Stitch by Lilo by Shioban, I love it :) :) :) Adam and Shioban were relaxed and welcoming, and the shop was both cozy and organized. I love that they both seem to have a lot of fun taking their art seriously!!

Excellent tattoo shop. I get a travel tattoo at most every location that me and my family go to. Having had dozens of travel tattoos up to this point I can say that this shop ranks highly for professionalism, cleanliness, and a very friendly atmosphere. With very short notice I gave him full creative control on what to give me and I have to say I absolutely love it. It’s probably now one of my favorite pieces.
