"Sweet Trade Tattoo on Maui was opened in the spirit of family, aloha, and a deep respect for our roots in traditional tattooing. We are dedicated to providing a pleasant atmosphere, the highest standards in sterilization, and beautiful, lasting, original tattoos. Adam Considine has been an artist since 1996, and came to Sweet Trade Tattoo in September of 2012. Adam is a master oil painter who works with American & Japanese Traditional & Polynesian tattoo. Adam and his wife, Athena, came to Maui for their honeymoon and decided quickly that this was the place for them. Adam & Athena love the Maui lifestyle of surfing, snorkeling, hiking with their dogs, or just enjoying a family day at the beach."

Spent several days in Kaanapali in November 2019 for a family vacation. Out of the blue I decided to get a tattoo in Maui. It's been 15 years since my last tattoo. I researched all the tattoo shops around the area and kept seeing great reviews about Adam. I decided to drop in to the shop and chat with Adam with the tattoo ideas I had in mind. He immediately took an interest in what I wanted done and gave me several great suggestions. I decided to let him design everything. The next day, he opened his shop up on his day off just to do my tattoo. His Titbetan Buddhist Phurba (dagger) design was so cool and authentic. It was more than I could've imagined. He also designed a simple but yet cool meaningful turtle tattoo. I had great conversations with him and loved the music that he cranks up while he zones out and gets to work. He has a very even touch and the tattoo process did not hurt at all. I am very pleased with what he designed and the whole process. Adam is a very straight up cool guy and extremely talented artist. It is worth checking out his shop and considering him to ink you. I will definitely be back to get more tattoos from him each time I go to Maui. Thanks so much Adam. You rock!! \m/

My family & I wanted to get a tattoo as a memory for our trip to Hawaii. We stopped in at Sweet Trade Tattoo & spoke to Athena. She was very courteous, very knowledgeable and very patient. We went back a few days later and met Adam. He was very patient as well, really listens to what you say & creates the design you want and makes any changes you may request. He put me at ease right away. Explained everything to me in detail, asked if I had any questions. The shop was very clean, very organized. I highly recommend this shop to anyone & everyone who wants an exceptional, excellent tattoo. I was so impressed with Adam, I had two tattoos done that day!! I LOVE my tattoos!!!! It was a wonderful experience getting to know this husband and wife team. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much Adam & Athena Mahalo!!!!

We were there for our 25th anniversary and just happened to drop in. Adam was very gracious and answered all are questions and got us in for a appointment to get matching turtle tattoos right before I trip ended. Our tattoos look amazing and we are very happy with the whole experience. We will be back next year to add to our tattoos.

Adam and Siobhan really went out of their way to draw my new wife and I custom tatoo’s and got them done last minute before we went home! Really meant a lot to us to get them there before we left and he got them done and did an amazing job on them! Thank you for memories that will last forever! Loved the atmosphere and final project. Siobhan did an amazing job and it went by very fast. This was my first tattoo and they made it quick and easy.
