He’s professional, expertly skilled, and an amazing artist. He is very thorough and will make sure you’ll get something to be proud to wear for the rest of your life. From the concept, to the drawing, to the placement, to the final touches, he’ll make sure you get an amazing custom piece. Easy five stars.

I have Derek do my tattoos and he does an amazing job. He makes sure it is exactly what i want before he even starts the tattoo he also throws in some of his ideas to make the tattoo flow and look good. Hes efficent and takes his time. His work is amazing and prices are good. I will always come back when i want work done and hes who I recommend to anyone.

Teach is an extremely personable guy that makes you feel comfortable in the shop. He works fast and efficient and puts out amazing and unique art. Alex at the front desk was very professional and helpful in getting all of my liability and waivers taken care of. Unique and fun shop in Boise!

I've had Derek do all of my tattoos and I'm always happy when I walk out the door. Been coming here for years. He doesn't drill into me like some heavy handed artists will, he takes his time, he's fair in prices, and he's always got a good eye for color so I just let him choose. Would recommend.

Bed Sanchez was so friendly and professional. In fact everyone in the shop was nice. The unique specialties mastered by each artist here make Chalice, hands down, the best tattoo studio in Boise. I did a lot of research before coming here. You won't be disappointed, which is pretty important when you're making a permanent decision!

Can't speak enough about the quality of the work. Derek has done three pieces on me now and they are all incredible. Getting an appointment can be tough but well with the wait.

Ive had the pleasure of being worked on by Darcy AND one of her guest artist Stevie Floyd. .I love them both and are some of the coolest people Ive had the pleasure to be around. Ive also been worked on in both shops and the atmosphere in both places are clean and relaxing. I am complimented everyday on all my ink..Cant wait to get more done...HURRY BACK STEVIE!!!

So happy that the first tattoo shop I had set up a consult with was as unprofessional as they were, because if they weren't I wouldn't have this phenomenal tattoo...Endjis was fantastic, and while there were some kinks initially, it was definitely worth the wait! This shop takes pride in their work and End was extremely patient with my persnicketiness and by the end of the night I had a tattoo that outshines all my other ones.

I would HIGHLY recommend this shop and would encourage you to stop in and take a look at their photo books or go on to their website. With quality work comes quality price so remember if you're considering going for those other shop's "deals"...And don't forget to tip your artist! 😊

My husband and I got our tattoos done at Chalice by Shawn Phelps. He is relatively new in the Boise area, but definitely not new to tattooing. Shawn did a great job on my husband's tattoo, especially since it was mostly perfect circles. Shawn was able to get a little more creative with my tattoo and it turned out looking great! Shawn stayed true to his quoted price for us and was very gracious making sure we were comfortable. We will definitely be going back for our next tattoos.

I got my sleeve started by Eddie. He did good work. My problem comes from when we did the consultation he really didn't listen to how I described I wanted the tattoo. We looked up many examples and I left him a list of the specific flowers I wanted. About a week before my scheduled appointment I sent him an email stating that I was unsure if his drawing would be how I wanted it to look and asked me to email it to me as soon as possible. He sent me an email in response saying that he was too busy to draw out my tattoo that far out. Not very comforting to read but I wanted to trust his artistic abilities. I finally got an email of the first draft of what I wanted the morning of my appointment (I had checked my email many times the night before). What he drew was not what I wanted at all. He even included a flower that, when he asked me if I wanted it, I specifically stated no. Since my appointment was at 11:30 there really wasn't much time to email it and wait for a response. So I went to the shop early for my appointment and told him my issue. He proceeded to redo the drawing and it was really good the second time around. We finally started the tattoo process 4 hours later! We were only able to do the outline since I had a meeting that evening. So we figured out a date to finish it. Feb. 13. I sent him an email early in the week stating that I hope that everything would run smoothly to get it finished. He emailed me the night before saying he doesn't know what happened but I am not on the schedule. Needless to say I'm very disappointed with the lack of professionalism. After reading such good reviews and looking into the portfolios so much I really thought it would have gone better. Eddie did try and make things right with this latest issue but after so many problems the first time around and him waiting so long to respond back to emails I won't be going back.
