I was super happy with my experience at Burn the Boats and with Ryan Cushinery my artist. The shop is super clean, each of the artists I witnessed used great practices to clean their stations. Other artists were also super friendly and created a great environment.
Ryan was great from the start, super collaborative, professional and responsive. He listened to my ideas for the tattoo and made an amazing piece of art. He was great to work with and I love the end result. I’ll be coming back to Ryan again for future tattoos for sure!

I had a wonderful experience from the very first contact with my artist, Ryan. I wanted a tattoo inspired by Billy Madison and he was happy to help make it happen and suggested we watch the movie during my session. It was great! The shop is clean, the team was friendly and helpful, and the tattoo is AMAZING! I will definitely continue to go to Burn the Boats Tattoo and would highly recommend them to anyone in the Boise area! The whole experience was the best I’ve ever had getting tattooed.
I wanted to update this review, I’ve been back to Ryan 2 more times since my initial visit and he continues to amaze me with his awesome art! Every visit has been wonderful and I can’t wait to go back again!

Burn The Boats Tattoo is my favorite place to get tattoos! I just got my second tattoo yesterday and had a great experience. Queenie did a great job and made sure everything was going to look good when others see it and made sure I loved it before we started. I always enjoy going into the shop and always have a wonderful experience. Everyone is super nice and friendly and they all do a wonderful job. I will forever be going back to get my tattoo here!

Got the most amazing tattoo from Queenie. It was definitely painful however Queenie was fantastic. I know I wiggled a bit but she said nothing. This tattoo means so much to me and there couldn’t have been a better artist. The line work, the shading, all of it is even better than I had imagined. I enjoyed the other artists as well. I was there for 8 hours so I saw a few clients in and out and all of the artists are very talented and are nice company. Thanks so much Burn The Boats and Queenie!

Ryan was awesome! He responded to my request within a couple of days and had me on the books for the following week. He helped me come up with a design that worked with ideas and worked efficiently and professionally. Made sure to ask me numerous times about placement, comfort, and my genuine happiness with the design. He was able to do my husband's tattoo a few weeks later and he had the same positive experience I did. Would and will highly recommend him to others :).

This is one of my top 3 shops I’ve been in (out of New York City & San Diego)! The Vibe is one I’ve never experienced in a shop before! The way it’s decorated so much Rad 80s 90s memorabilia!
And not to mention the movies playing on the walls.
The Artist are amazing! Ya he work coming out of that shop is unreal! I want to hang out there every day!

Hands down best tattoo shop in Boise! My tattoo artist Rikki Noriega did a perfect job on my tattoo! She added her own style and I loved it! She did an amazing job shading and her line work is bold and dark! It’s all in all awesome! I highly recommend her to friends and family who want an awesome tattoo! (:

Absolutely loved this place. I had a really meaningful tattoo done a few years ago by someone else and it didn’t turn out the way I would have liked. Mike Beard was really able to bring my tattoo back to life and make it that more meaningful for me. Aside from the amazing artistry the place itself is unlike any other tattoo place I have been to. The overall vibe made me feel comfortable being there for the first time, and all the other artists were so friendly. Mike takes pride in his job and has worked very hard to have the style of business he does, it’s exceptional. I will most definitely be going back.

Sean is a PHENOMENAL artist. He has done 2 of my tattoos and they are flawless. Sean makes you feel comfortable and consistently checks in to make sure you’re tolerating the tattoo well. His application is swift, delicate, and precise - it blows my mind how immaculate his line work it. Plus- the shop is ADORABLE and everyone who works there is welcoming and kind. This is the second tattoo I've gotten here, and I will keep coming back. Not only is the shop entertaining with everything 80's, but you get to chill out watching 80's movies. It's clean, friendly, inviting and a very easy feeling. Every time I walk in I see something new!
So.....like I said this is my second tattoo I got from Mike. I got what I wanted, but felt like it was missing something. It needed more. After I healed I went in to add to my piece. I love it 10x more!!!! It's now surpass my other tattoo from Mike (which is also amazing), and it's now my new favorite!! I'm already planning another and yes, I'm going here. Why would you not! There are a varity of artist there. One for every taste. Not only is Mike my artist, but I'm planning on him bringing my other work to life again! He already did it once. Now I want it all!
