Wow. We could not have wished for a better first tattoo experience. Keifer was AMAZING. He was so patient, careful, and very talented. All three of us were just over the moon about our tattoos and our time spent at the shop. The ambience is calming and airy and the folks working were very professional.
The value for what we got was more than fair and the whole place was clean and COVID safe.
Honestly, I would be willing to make the 5 hour drive all over again just to go back here. I’m so glad the other tattoo shops in town never got back to us.

I just got my tattoo a couple hours ago from Kieffer. I highly recommend talking to him about your tattoo wants/needs! He was super nice and very interested in doing a great job on my piece! I got a sunflower with my mothers handwriting and he got her writing down perfect! I love it so much! Thank you Bitter root tattoo!!

By far the best tattoo shop for all your needs. The owners and other artists there are amazing and extremely talented. Thad is the perfect person to do realism Simon has amazing line work and loves to do unique pieces. Beautiful work and beautiful people. Thad did my amazing cover up that I had several local artists turn me away due to built up scar tissue and he turned it out!!!!

I met with Nick to get a memorial piece for my grandmother and he did an amazing job!! I just got a small hummingbird which took less than an hour and cost $80. I would highly recommend! Super clean environment and such friendly people. Will definitely be going back

I've had both of my tattoos thus far done by Simon, the owner of Bitterroot Tattoo. Both pieces were excellent, but the latter one, a nordic-style medicine wheel on my calf, is absolutely on another level. I brought him pretty base outlines for each tattoo, outlining themes more than anything and giving him a location so he knew how big to make them, and he took it from their, producing true pieces of art. When I came in for my first tattoo, I was on a pretty tight budget of $450, so we set out to be done by a particular hour. But when we went over and the bill came out to nearly $600, he shrugged off the odd $150.
I can't personally speak for the work of the other artists at Bitterroot like I can for Simon, but I've seen their portfolios and their work is impressive across the board. For as long as I am attending the University of Idaho, any tattoo I get will be at Bitterroot. They've more than earned my patronage.

Simon and his team do some really amazing work here. I've gotten a couple pieces done from Simon at this point and they all turned out and aged beautifully. Your designs are truly respected and treated with utmost care here and it shows. The space is really open, relaxing, and clean! Super happy positive/vibes.

Thus far I have gotten all of my tattoos at Bitterroot, done by both Nick and Keiffer, and I cannot recommend this Tattoo studio enough. I am so pleased with my tattoos and have all healed up beautifully with fantastic line quality and shading. I will definitely continue to be a client at Bitterroot until i’ve got now more space for ink.
