9 Mag Tattoo

This is my second time being pierced by Brittany Slam. First she pierced my nose, and on my last visit she did my cartilage and my third lobe! LOVE THEM! I was a actually very nervous about my nose, and she made me feel so confident in my decision to go through with it, and now I’m obsessed with it! She even followed up with me letting me know she had new jewelry coming in, as I expressed my allergies to low grade jewelry types and how I was looking for some cute GOOD quality body jewelry. She invests in the best of the best jewelry, so I can’t wait until they come in so I can go back! RECOMMENDED TO EVERYONE!

Also - the shop is so clean, her area is so nicely decorated and very relaxing environment.

Shogun did a memorial portrait after my son passed. He was truly amazing to work with. Everyone one at the shop seemed genuinely nice and down to earth. I love all the artwork and overall vibe of the shop.

I went to get piercings from Brittany Slam about a year ago. She’s very professional and very welcoming. Loved the fact that she made sure that her work area was clean and all her equipment was clean as well. Id would definitely recommend her to anyone looking to get a piercing.

This was such a great tattoo experience. Chelsea is absolutely excellent and her art is a gift. She is professional, friendly, easy to work with and knowledgable about tattooing and especially tattooing on melanin rich skin. She worked with my idea and created a tattoo celebrating my mom and I. It meant a lot for me that this tattoo came out right. It was beyond. It is perfect. I highly recommend booking an appointment with Chelsea.

My daughter made an appointment with Don on 5/30/18 and placed a deposit for a nose piercing. Her appointment was scheduled for July 22nd at 4:30 pm. We arrived way before time and were met with locked doors. After knocking and waiting for a period of time still no one appeared. We sent an email to the link provided when making the initial appointment and were so kindly informed that the deposit was NON-REFUNDABLE. What kind of business are these people running? Is this establishment for entertainment purposes only or what? If I could give this place no star I would. Professionalism is key and great customer service plays a part also. Please know that this review is not a reflection of 9 Mag but of the newly named company LOYAL INK. Don't waste your time. It seems like fame has gotten the best of them.

9 Mag is a dope spot. I drove from Detroit as a surprise..... Thank you Chelsea for bringing to life my vision 💗. She was very pleasant and cool as hell. I was very comfortable. Chelsea's tattoo skills is off the chain.....I will be back soon

Tried to get a cover up but this is the information I received. I want a tattoo but damn that’s my car note they bogus for the high prices.....My name is Gina, Ryan Henry’s Assistant. Can you please provide a brief description of the tattoo you are interested in getting done. Where will it be going and approximately how big? Are you interested in color or black and grey shading only? Please send any pictures you would like Ryan to reference this session as well as, a picture of the area the tattoo will be going. **DO NOT SEND LINKS**. PICTURES, PICTURES, PICTURES!! They are an IMPORTANT part of of the booking process. Especially if it is a cover up. If you are able to mark yourself, or the picture for approximate size.. it will be extremely helpful for pricing. Unfortunately Ryan does not specialize in portraits. Ryan's current rates are $250 both hourly and minimum, plus there is a $100 non refundable deposit required to book. Please note the deposit is separate from Ryan’s hourly rates, and does not go towards the price of the tattoo. It is EXTREMELY important to provide as much detail as possible and to make sure you answer every question when responding. Making sure all the information is provided allows for booking the appointment faster. Look forward to hearing back from you.

LOVEEEE Slam, she’s the only person I’ll let pierce me!! Very knowledgeable when it comes to piercing. She takes her time and makes you feel at ease! Great personality too! I’ve referred multiple people to her and they‘ve spoken so highly of her as well.

We flew in from Texas for my birthday and just had to stop by 9 Mag! I really just went to take pictures and say I’ve been there, but they had an artist available to give me a tattoo so I ended up getting a flawless tomahawk. Since I wasn’t expecting to get a tattoo I didn’t have one in mind so Kyle helped me come up with the idea to represent my Native American side and took the time to design it exactly how I liked it! It’s my favorite tattoo I have and to top it off Ryan Henry was there and he came out to meet me and take pictures! I got to meet some of the other crew as well and they all made me feel like home! Kyle is their secret weapon so ask for him if you get the chance to go to 9 Mag and have the experience of a lifetime!

I had a pretty bad experience here which was surprising based on all the other positive reviews. I got a tattoo here about a month ago from Mark (ig: leftmy_mark). When I showed up I was told that there was a scheduling error and I was going to have to wait for him to be available. What’s the point of paying a $50 deposit if my appointment time isn’t going to be held? When he finally finished up with his other client (4 whole hours after my appointment time) and I got to the station in the back he mentioned a price that was 50-100 dollars more than discussed in the email and when I said that was not what was agreed on he kept referring to miscommunications with his assistant who sends his emails. Ultimately what goes on behind the scenes has nothing to do with the customer and blaming others and trying to get me to pay more instead of taking personal responsibility is distasteful, especially after waiting four hours for him to be ready. He eventually agreed to do it for the agreed price but once he started tattooing he kept pausing every few minutes to change the song playing from his phone while still wearing the same gloves he was tattooing me with! I knew this had to be some sort health code violation and was scared of catching an infection but I was too shocked to say anything about it. Also, when I asked to take a break to stretch my legs he came back with a cup of alcohol in his hand and sat it on his station but luckily didn’t start drinking. As if things couldn’t get any worse, after he finished he did not wrap the tattoo right and I had blood trickling down my back through the wrap by the time I got home. Aside from the actual tattoo and the nice lady at the front desk I had an extremely unprofessional and unsanitary experience getting tattooed here and I feel lucky that I managed to not catch an infection. This experience especially sucked since it was my first time getting a tattoo and the now the memory is horrible, but I guess you live and you learn.
