I have been trying to fill in a spot on my half sleeve for 5 years. I went in and Matt helped me out. I just told him what I wanted. I wanted to do the 2 birth flowers for my nieces and their initials to fill in the large empty space. He came up with the most perfect custom design. It fits in so much better than I had it in my mind. Matt is a very chill and laid back guy and I felt great the entire time. I am so happy with how the tattoo came out and how it looks. Very very happy. He also did a small touch up on an old tattoo and it looks so much better now. Both tattoos give me so much confidence. If you go in I would highly suggest that you ask for him. The guy in the front had a little attitude in my opinion but I guess I understand with so many clients. Again, I can't thank Matt enough for completing my half sleeve in a way I could've never imagined. My next tattoo I am going to him.

Had a fabulous experience start to finish with Great Lakes Tattoo. The shop has a great vibe and booking was a pleasant experience. I came in and Jen had a beautiful tattoo planned for me based on the images I'd sent her of traditional Norwegian Rosemaling and since it's a living folk art tradition, I was really excited to see her take on it. I could not be more thrilled with the results, collaboration, and end-to-end experience and will definitely be back to add to this beautiful piece of artwork.

Everyone here is awesome and very professional. They are talented and they are all pretty nice people. The place is clean, and very nicely decorated with tattoo memorabilia. I’ve been coming for several years. They do walk in’s if available but otherwise you should go online to their website to request an appointment. They will work with you and whatever art you are interested in getting. Parking in the area is usually not to hard to find. Plenty of places to eat in the area. Highly recommend for your tattoo needs!

I recently completed my half sleeve with Mike Dalton and it was an incredible experience. Mike is incredibly talented and invested in his art. The experience was seamless and enjoyable. I came in at 12pm hoping for a walk-in while visiting Chicago on holiday and was being tattooed by 1pm. All the staff seemed friendly and the place was super clean with lots to look at. Felix did my tattoo and he was great- he seemed enthusiastic about the design and was chatty and friendly. I was super happy with my piece, which healed beautifully. Really glad I came!

If I could give 100 million stars I would! I had a 20-year-old tattoo that needed a serious upgrade. After calling multiple shops who turned me down, Great Lakes was communicative and led me to my new favorite person... Erik! From start to finish, Erik took on this project with the utmost care and professionalism. The minute I met Erik, I knew I was in good hands and the results were absolutely amazing! I am beyond grateful for this experience and LOVE my tattoo! It went from a faded mess that I covered up with long sleeves to the most gorgeous tattoo I am so excited to show everyone! This place is awesome! Very roomy allowing empty booths on either side of ours for social distancing. They had free masks for us, and they wore them too. Thousands of pictures to choose from. My artist Mitch was very sweet. They were ready with the artwork and waiting when we arrived based on our discription. We got mommy daughter tats. Their prices were comparable to other shops. Street parking. Not handicapped accessible.
