Got a piece by summer today. She was amazing and her work speaks for itself, she had to step away to talk to a few people who wanted quotes (happens literally everywhere) and she made sure to let me know she will be right back and thanked me for letting her step away. One of the best experiences I have ever had at a shop! Will definitely tell everyone to come here!

Fantastic for tattoos and piercings! Took my 5yr old in today to get her ears pierced and was worth every penny! Ryan was kind patient and calm with her. Her explained everything step by step so she would know what was happening the whole time. She did cry but he just talked her through it calmly and made sure she was comfortable getting her other ear pierced before doing it. They even gave her some quarters so she could play pinball while waiting to get her ears pierced. I've also had 3 tattoos done here by kalib and they are all beautifully done. I won't go anywhere else for piercings or tattoos!

I've never personally had a tattoo done here, but I've accompanied several people here that we're getting tattoos. You can sense the cleanliness as soon as you step in the door. The workers have wonderful personalities, and they are great at what they do. If you're getting a tattoo or piercings in Pekin, I'd definitely go here!!

I got a double helix piercing by Ryan. He was super sweet, relaxed and calm. Explained to me everything he was doing and what to expect. We had friendly conversation in between explanations. Very sterile and clean place with a friendly atmosphere! I'm going back to get a tattoo soon!

I just got my second tattoo (7th one total) from American Inkwell and I can't tell you how amazing and welcoming everyone is at this shop! The feel of the shop is great and it's always clean! This is the only tattoo parlor I will ever go to now; all of the artists are great, so you won't be disappointed in their work. Jason did both of my tattoos; one was a coverup (which are always tricky) and the other one was an addition to a tattoo that I already had. He did a fantastic job on both pieces - better than what I had invisioned and well worth the wait because they can be busy. My most recent one was a family tattoo with a word in my Grandmother's handwriting - so kind of important to get it right and make it look like one coherent piece since I was adding to it. He knocked it out of the park! It may just be ink on skin to someone else, but to me, it's a little piece of my Grannie that'll always be with me and it's beautiful. Thank you so much!! I'll definitely be back for more :-)

I've had Kalib do several tattoos and I intend to have him do several more. Definitely my go to artist in the central illinois area. I've also had work done by their apprentice summer, who is definitely paving her way! she does solid work. All three tattooist and the piercer, Ryan, are great at what they do. very knowledgeable and all around great people.

I have been coming to the shop for some time now and I have gotten all of my tattoos from this place and exceeded my expectations every single time. they are very clean and very friendly also the prices are very affordable based on the size of the tattoo. I absolutely love this place and would highly recommend it to anybody.

Very professionally run business. During this uncertain time of Covid and restrictions, the communication has been excellent. Requirements, protocols and expectations clearly laid out and implemented onsite. Excellent work and extremely talented, Kalib has a true passion for his craft. Highly recommended.

This is one of the best shops in the area. I've gotten pieces from Jason and Kalib and they both do great work. You'll have to wait a while for an appointment, but it's worth waiting for. The shop is clean and the artist take their craft very seriously. I'd give 10 stars if I could!
