If you're looking for a tattoo shop in Lafayette, Indiana, you might want to check out Tattooed Heart. This tattoo shop is located at 125 N 4th St, right across from the courthouse. It's been in the area for years and has become a popular place to get tattoos.
The shop has a great staff that does a wonderful job, and some of them can be very detailed and always do nice work. They are accommodating, kind, patient, and an amazing value for the talent. Truly exceptional. The artists are friendly, personable, and professional and they do excellent work! They are primarily talented in American Traditional art, so if you're looking for this particular art style and the corresponding iconography and color scheme, you won't be disappointed.
One of the shop's standout artists is Ryan Keplinger, who has done all 8 of one customer's tattoos. He is extremely friendly and easy to work with. Another standout artist is Richard Brumbaugh, who is amazing to work with and does an excellent job.
The shop is always clean and friendly, and the artwork is amazing. The staff talks to you all through the process, making sure you're good with everything. They listen very well and look at a few different tattoos you want and draw it up to look nice for a price you can afford.
One thing to note is that the shop is cash-only, but some of the artists have card readers.
Overall, Tattooed Heart is a great tattoo shop in Lafayette that you should definitely check out if you're looking for a new tattoo.

I'm 67 years old. Just got my first tattoo. Ryan was simply the best!! He talked to me all through the process making sure I was good with everything. If I get another I will definitely call Ryan. I would certainly recommend him.

I myself spoke to one of the artist and he was very professional and gave me a good price on what I wanted and listen very well and looked at a few different tattoos I wanted and said he will draw it up to look nice for a price I can afford. It is in the downtown area across from the courthouse. I highly recommend it.

The guys here are great! They're always fun (their banter is usually excellent) and they're extremely skilled at what they do. I can't recommend them enough. The shop is clean and the art is fantastic. My go to is Ryan but I've seen some really cool stuff done on people I know by all the other guys as well.

Really great shop with artists talented primarily in American Traditional art. I wouldnt go if you didnt want this particular art style and the corresponding iconography and color scheme. My artist, Richie, came up with an awesome design based on what I asked for and it looks really good.
As a side note, signs posted saying "cash only" seem to maybe not be as relevant anymore as my artist had a card reader.

I came in here for my second tattoo because all the other shops wouldn't take walk ins or they were booked. Grant was super nice even when 1st I had to go to the bank to get cash because its cash only then 2nd I had to go back to the car to get my ID because I forgot it. He was very patient and drew up exactly what I wanted. From the time he put the stencil on my ribs to when I was completely finished took about 15 minutes. Yes, I got a small tattoo but I was still a little nervous it was done that fast. It looks amazing though!! Its healing very nicely and is exactly how I wanted it. Thank you!!!

I will not go back to Ryan Keplinger; had he listened to me, I would have posted a great review, but even after multiple conversation concerning what I wanted for my tattoo, he essentially did the opposite of what he said. I will be going elsewhere to have my tattoo finished. (Note: this was my second piece by him).
