We came in on a whim for our 10th wedding anniversary. Penny was able to see us, and was able to design EXACTLY what we wanted. The price was good and they were super laid back and friendly. Will be returning.

Not impressed with this place at all. I went in to talk about the tattoo I wanted. This would be my first one. When I described what I wanted the gal behind the desk smirked. The guy waiting on me started looking up pictures even though I already had several designs in mind. I had to put down a deposit and book for another day. I left there feeling demeaned and belittled. Again, my first time and I thought maybe that's just how they are. Stopped in at another place on my way and was treated with respect. I got my tattoo there, that very moment. Went back to Black Squirrel to cancel my upcoming appointment and get my deposit back. At the time of booking the guy said if I cancel 24 hrs in advance of appointment the deposit is refundable. The smirking gal said to me, "we don't generally refund deposits." I said, "yes you do, that's what Brad told me when I booked it with you standing right behind him." Not impressed with their customer interactions or service.

Black Squirrel Iowa has a wonderful atmosphere and the artists to match. I've now had two pieces done there (Aaron/Penny) and I couldn't be more satisfied with their artistry. I highly recommend this location and will be going back when I find my next piece.

Had a tattoo completely reworked and took it to a whole nother level! Aaron Kyle did a large tattoo on my shoulder a Lily with Vines and it's spectacular. Friends and family have gone here as well and all works of art👍💙

Located in one of the cities unique timepieces. Easy to find and wonderful to visit . Located on broadway not far from Omaha Nebraska. Clean professional artists, each talented in different styles of tattoo art. Neat place with great people.
