Omar was absolutely amazing, I gave him a general idea of the tattoo I wanted and I gave him complete freedom to create his own piece of art and he did absolutely that. He took a small vision I had in my head and made it into something so beautiful and unique. I love that he free handed parts of the tattoo to make it even more unique. I absolutely plan on coming back for more tattoos from both Omar and Johnny! Hands down the best tattoo I've ever gotten!!!

I’ve been searching for the perfect artist to cover my tattoo for over 5 years. John at new era tattoo is amazing! Extremely clean and professional. The shop is such a great environment and John really helped me decide on how I should cover my tat and start my sleeve. I definitely recommend this shop! Prices are reasonable as well. I will be going back for sure!

I have been with Johnny over a year now. It began at JC tattoo then he moved to New Era. I have gotten well over 8 tattoos from Johnny. When I first met Johnny he was flirtatious and would ask to take me out to eat with him and he would give me discounts on his tattoos if I brought him customers. He even insisted I come to his place to get my first tattoo done. This made me a little uncomfortable at the time but he was a good artist. I liked his work, but that was all. I brought Johnny over 10 customers, some that still book with him to this day. From that I’ve gotten discounted on every single tattoo and a few that were even free (HE INSISTED). I was very grateful, and still tipped him well because he did great work. This was until he began to get more buisness. He began working in Texas, Maryland, and Kansas and only likes bigger pieces. I 100% understand that you have to make your money. But I do not respect him not keeping his word and being un loyal to original customers. I have a droopy smiley face tattoo that he mentioned would fade over time and he’d touch it up, he mentioned he owed me 2 free tattoos (these would have been very small tattoos, obviously larger tattoos I paid for), he then mentioned he would touch up my sleeve that he did way too light, and that he would finish my sleeve as well. Again, I understand you gotta make your money. But I was always willing to pay. Now I have to finish my sleeve with an entire new artist and I’m furious. Crazy how ever since I began dating someone he’s no longer had the time to get me an appointment (I would never have to wait longer than a month for an appointment). I said what I said.

John has been my go to tattoo artist. His lining is amazing his art work is impressive. I couldn’t have asked for a better tattoo artist he will always be my go to for every single tattoo I get. Y’all should most definitely go to this tattoo shop I highly recommend it!

Johnny did these two pieces on me about 2 weeks ago. He took his time with the stencil & made sure I was happy with the placement. There was no rush with anything, he showed me multiple designs/ideas of what I wanted. Very clean & sanitary. I felt comfortable & relaxed the whole time! 10/10 recommend ☺️
Definitely won’t be going to another artist around Kansas.

My latest edition to my arm is my parents handwriting and I can’t express enough how amazing this is! Not only the meaning but the time that Omar took to be sure it was exact, to the letter. Picture also includes another tattoo Omar did for me. The lioness is spot on to what I wanted and the script is beyond perfect. The line work is on point and I couldn’t be more happy. Omar is not only so talented in his work but is also an amazing person to talk to while getting a tattoo. Definitely going to coming back for more tattoos in the future… and you should definitely consider it as well 😁
